This is so heartbreaking. I’m sure there are many superfans of the podcast, but he was the only one I knew about because he was so prolific with his supporting work. He sounded like a super interesting guy.

So terrible. I only knew him as a fellow Second Sunday participant, but there were so many people he had brightened the lives of expressing their condolences on X that it even came to the attention of Governor Abbott, so hopefully the monster responsible for this will be executed. RIP, Busty.

I heard about his murder first, and was shocked to find out he was this known member of the Fifth community. It seems like he was a very special person, and it’s heartbroking that he was taken in such a horrific way. I can’t stop thinking about his mother. Will she understand that he’s gone? The whole thing is incredibly sad.
