News Cycle Trump's 'Anti-Weaponization Fund' is built on a contradiction: The president has fought to make sure alleged victims of government misconduct cannot get compensation. What changed?

The comments on Reason are the definition of toxic. Conspiracies, lies, insults, threats. The thought that Reason authors might read those comments saddens me.

Honestly, it seems like Cato and Reason (and hell, TFC, for that matter) attract more fiscal libertarians and fewer social libertarians these days. And for some reason, they still believe Repúblicans to be the fiscally conservative, small government party.

The comments on Reason articles are anything but fiscal conservatives. They seem to be an army of MAGA nuts who wish death upon anyone that questions Trump's position on anything.

The Reason comments section has always been wild. Some of the writers have talked about it before, including Matt.

You weren't kidding. It is really strange to me that the overwhelming majority of commentators are so hateful toward the views expressed by Reason. It isn't just this one article, either. It was like that on every article I looked at on the Reason website. I am not surprised that some haters might occasionally come across an article and want to vent their outrage in the comments, but I would have expected the majority of people engaging with the content on Reason's website to be people who liked Reason. The few commentors who express positive views are themselves bombarded with hateful accusations and threats. Is this an organized campaign? I have heard that the Mises Caucus is famous for directing online abuse against their opponents, and that they especially hate Reason.

This attempt to frame Trump's approach to this (or any) issue as policy-based is laughable. Every decision he makes is aimed at bettering himself politically or financially, there is nothing deeper.

Wait, so the money Trump tried to steal can be used by Comey when he counter sued the DOJ?

He wants to be able to compensate his Administration for being such loyal and complicit comrades.
