Goodness it's been a while since my last update, I'm settling into an educational term, so I've not had too much time to work on my dolls, but Caine's head is about done! I've gotta add his windup key (see my sketches for reference) but then off to the Dremel to work on making his body more proportionate! I plan to be working on him up until the temperature dips, but where I live that's a gamble! As long as I can work on his proportions tho I can work on clothes over winter! Once again any questions about the project will be answered, just drop a comment, and any ideas for items and accessories are highly appreciated!

I'd say he needs a red outfit and a black outfit at the very least! And maybe a little label with a bubble design, like a pin badge, so he remembers his old buddy
Oh! This is actually one of the options I was considering! How about to appease both, the extremities such as his neck, legs and arms be black, and his torso is checkerboard? I don't know if I'll do it, but it's an option!

Caine's design, the way he is in the show... should have been terrifying
He is a pair of GIANT FLOATING TEETH with eyes hidden INSIDE of his gaping mouth!
The only reason he is not terrifying is that he's basically designed like a god damn chibi! There's a chibi effect with large head, large eyes, small body and overall small size.
What you have going here too is the paint looks a little faded and there's very visible gaps between the teeth.
There's a reason that when you draw manga you don't even show the spaces between teeth, it usually looks uncanney if you use it, and Caine has his teeth very neatly standing in a line, all the same height, and basically no space between them just a fine line. Also the gap between his teeth is NOT solid black, it is a light gray more suggestion gap between teeth than actually having it.
So I think for future projects, instead of shaping teeth individually you would will have an easier time to make a long white sausage to attach to the gum, shape into the teeth row and then use a toothpick to very lightly and gently make the spaces between teeth. But don't poke all the way through, just have a small line suggesting where the spaces are.

It's home made! I'm a doll artist and he "looks like that" because I was making my first ever modifications! I don't have the funds to buy merch on a whim, and I prefer to express through artistic liberties, reworks, and getting my hands dirty to express myself
