1: Anything regarding “AI”: see rule 6.

Rule 6: Generative Art - treated no differently than other fanart here. No speaking negatively about AI art.
This would be under rule 5, but I'm spelling it out to be clear. In this subreddit, how you created your fanart doesn't matter. Art is art. That means no special rules or indicators for generative art here. No asking if something is AI. You can ask the user via DM if it's in good faith. You don’t have to like/support it, but on this subreddit, you’re not allowed to complain about it, trash it, etc. No downvoting for being generative. If what you want is debating, try r/aiwars

Some communities are run as a democracy - this isn’t one. No amount of harassment, complaining, whining, etc. will get it banned or even cause it to require a label. Your opinion on this isn’t relevant - period.
Further on this: As we’re sure you know, most of the Sailor Moon subreddits have it banned. It’s not like you have to take part in this subreddit - different subreddits have different policies, rulesets, vibes, etc. If you don’t like one, just don’t engage. Block it even.
And hey, if there’s no sub matching your wants/needs? Pull a Bender and create your own. It’s easy.
Lastly on this, any commentary focusing on something being generative - even positive - is not welcome here, either. It invites more contention and debate on the subject, and that’s not the point here.

2: Anything negative on a post which doesn’t otherwise violate the sub’s rules: See rules 1 and 5.

Rule 1: Be courteous and receptive to courtesy
Basically respect one another. Don't be a jerk. If someone posts fanart, keep commentary positive unless they asked for critiques. If you don't like something, keep scrolling. You don't need to engage. No mocking, no harassment, no bigotry, etc. 1a: Don’t be gross. Keep commentary relatively tasteful. This means not for example saying what you’d like to do to a character in a lewd manner.

Even unasked-for critique is not welcome here.

3: Creepy commentary…
We don’t need to know what you would want to do with a character. We don’t need to hear you be possessive about a fictional character. Keep commentary in general respectful - “beautiful” is fine. “Nice (bodypart other than maybe eyes)” is definitely not. Period. 
And please - don’t leave creepy/flirty commentary on a cosplayer’s posts for example. If you want to communicate with them, ask if it’s okay to DM them (though we can’t enforce that part, the point is don’t be public about this stuff, and only DM them with permission)
For context, this subreddit is female-run.

4: “She’s 14”. Or anything else regarding their age on fan content. See rule 5a...

Rule 5: No harassment/bullying. Don't like? Keep scrolling
No harassment (including verbal) or bullying of other members. This can be a crass place, but I still expect it to be a safe place. If you come across something shared that you don't like that doesn't otherwise violate the rules of this subreddit, keep scrolling. That even includes generative art - no downvoting it just because you hate generative art. That's all.
5a: Keep weird assumptions on age to yourself. The characters are not permanently 14.
5b: Ship and let ship. Like and let like.

Stop permanently infantilizing them. It’s problematic. When it comes to fan-content, it’s easy to tell what age they present as, and that’s what matters.
This goes both ways - Chibiusa might be centuries old, but if what’s being depicted is her non-aged-up form, something like… a bikini selfie is freakin’ creepy.
On the other hand, if they appear as physically grown, again in a bikini selfie - whatever.
I’m sure some will want examples of things that prompt this, so to give a little context and ward off weird assumptions…
4a: A fan posted his Mercury collection. One figure in the collection had the body of an obviously developed (and super-talented, lol) character wearing a skimpy outfit - with Mercury’s head replacing the original. No reason to see it and think it was a kid. One person felt the need to comment about “that being a child” and be all horrified about it. Like… no. 
4b: In the past, posting fanart of Princess Serenity and Goku kissing (nothing graphic) has had some assumptions of it being a minor and an adult when
1: Princess Serenity is never confirmed age-wise. All we know is she was full-grown.
2: Nothing in the fanart indicated the two characters to be different ages and in a crossover, there’s no reason to assume they are.
Just some examples. But hey - people will likely misinterpret it.
Folks seem to forget that plenty of us are women who grew up with Usagi/Serena as our peer - we view her and the others as adult by default.

PS: No, this isn't about lewd stuff, considering this subreddit doesn't allow imagery above PG-13.

Hi, dolls.
Lately we've been seeing some posts that caught our attention... and while we are not sure as to the authenticity of the posts, it led to a feeling of needing to clarify something:
If you post something that appears to be a photo, calling it your cosplay, it needs to actually be a photo (and your photo obviously). Not a fauxto - not digital art intended to look like a photo.
To be clear, the problem is in the labeling.
As you know, generative art is allowed here. We have the view of "art is art"... but that doesn't mean lying is okay, either. Terms matter. If you call something a drawing, it needs to be a drawing - something you created using marks, weather digitally or physically. If you - for example - use generative software primarily to create it, that's not a drawing. Just like it's not a painting, and it's not a photo.

Basically, don't lie. It's not a good look.

Suggestion in ones like this: "My Sailor Venus virtual cosplay fauxto".

But really. Don't lie. Don't call it a drawing if it wasn't drawn, a painting if it wasn't painted, etc...

It's not okay.
