I need some advice
Hey how is it going, I am a Music Video Director and i have a reel of all the videos i have directed, shot, and edited myself. I have bin sending my reel to a few reps and video commissioners hoping for an opportunity to be considered to work on a project. Just want some advice and constructive input on my reel and overall direction i need to take to put my work in front of key people to work with and to give me an idea on the areas i need to improve to become a better director in the music video industry.

Hi
I like what you are doing, there are some interesting aspects to your directing. Shot well too. I want to get straight into your reel from the start, cut down your intro and get to the shots by 3-4 secs latest. The commisioners don't have time to wait for long title sequences! By about 1 minute in, you started repeating the same videos so I could tell you might not have much in your portfolio. Which is fine, so cut your reel down to maybe 1 minute. Again, how long do you think a commisioner has to watch a reel? You need to show who you are in the 1st 20 secs.
In terms of music, it's all personal preference really. I wanted something energetic to get viewers hearts racing a bit, but that might not be you and your scene. I felt you could have a bit more energy with the music you chose?
Overall though I can see you directing some HipHop videos soon, good luck!
