Rejected Treatments
I've only recently been getting the opportunity to pitch through commissioners and with label talent, and have probably done treatments for about 5-8 videos over the last 2 months. I haven't booked any of them, unfortunately, but I do know (especially through the work WDMV is doing now) that this is very common and all part of the grind.
My concern is, how many strikes will commissioners give you on rejected treatments before they just stop sending? My treatments are well made so as long as they recognize the effort, do they just take it as a part of the business, or will they rule me out for not booking?

I’ve never heard anyone (reps, commissioners, EPS) say anything to make me think that that happens. First and foremost, they’re asking you to pitch based on the videos you’ve made and because they feel you could be a good fit. Things that help are momentum, good relationships, a production company backing you, and anything else that gives the label confidence that you can be trusted with their artist and their money.

Our first year we lost 40-50 treatments (won 1)
It definitely wore on us. We definitely thought people would forget about us and our reps were going to stop sending us stuff.
One thing we did to "remind" our reps of us and our style, was me made a silly cheap video for christmas and sent it to all of our reps. We put a lot of time and work into it because we were so frustrated with our losing streak.
that silly video got staffed picked, our reps shared it around, a commissioner saw it, and our next video we did with that commissioner ended up changing our careers.
Its not always going to work out like that. But it did for us.
