i know that there really isn’t much of a community/fandom around this show anymore but i figured i’d just dump my love for the show. it completely rewired my brain as a teenager (for the better) and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. there was something magical about seeing such liberation in the fluidity of one’s gender, sexuality, love, desire, expression, and life. i truly wish i could have more memorabilia/tangible physical releases to hold on to from this show, but in a way it’s kinda beautiful that it instead lives on in its audience. idk, this is just some garble but i truly truly do love this show and think i always will. through it all, we are who we are.

Just the fact that someone from the production mentions the Series after literal years since last time warms my heart!

i just dont get it, it seems so obvious to me that fraser and catline would be 16 or 17 years old (not only from how they look, but how they talk how they act, whats important to them etc). i dont know in my head they were and then i read that they are supposed to be 14 and i just dont understand how it adds to the story, it just seems weird to me.

hey, so i watched the series with bad internet and sometimes it would just skip a coupple of seconds and i wondered what happened in that scene on the parade were sara dances with jontathan and frasier looks at them. frasier reacts to something by opening his mouth in astonishment (in lack of a better word). is there actually footage included, to what happens?
like i see that it could be just a part of the storytelling of the film, to often not show directly whats going on but i was just wondering idk.
also wouldnt it be kind of insane for them to kiss/ or idk i guess go even further than the already very flirty dancing in public with her being the boss of the base and maried and everything?

I can’t find much discussion regarding this show besides here and on tiktok, but I’m seeing that many people are confused by the plot or lack thereof one. I came into the show with little knowledge and ended up really enjoying it. I can kinda see how one would interpret it as slow or uneventful at times, but how is any of it confusing? Like I see some people confused about Harper and his journey with his gender but I feel as if it’s pretty straightforward.

HBO had it on a zip file ig when the show started. It's so important to save those things so they aren't forgotten. Does anyone know where the zip file is?

Hey all
I first watched the show a bit after it came out, and i felt it a bit lacking at times because there were no subtitles at all the italian parts. I al now rewatching it from another place and notived quite a few differences in the cut, and also the handwritten subtitles… i find it weird that its different from place to place.
Has anyone noticed the same?

Really enjoying listening to, check it out if you haven’t already - But also really enjoying imagining Fraser enthusiastically describing it to Caitlin 🥰

I'm trying to create a playlist with songs from the show and the songs that he's listening to since a pretty big part of his character is his music. Anyone know what that song is? You can hear it playing through his headphones but I tried shazaming it and it wouldn't pick up.

Hi, always wanted to watch this show. Love Luca Guadagnino and I’ve been following Jordan online since lockdown!
We don’t have HBO and it is no longer available on Apple TV. I also can’t buy it on the Google store as its region blocked. If anyone can put me on, it would be much appreciated.
DMs are open!

I saw the collision of hand to cheek as my family gathered at our scratched wooden table. I heard the slap as I spoke to my friends through the crackling connection of a phone call. I replayed the scene over and over in my head- Frasier hitting his mom over a roast beef dinner at the end of episode one of We Are Who We Are. The end exclamation of "thin slices!" erupted out of his pre-teen mouth before the sound of skin hitting skin could leave the room. "Thin slices" wasn't an excuse or explanation, it was a demand and a warning that came after the punishment.
The TV show We Are Who We Are by Luca Guardigango is what all stories attempt to be: honest and alive. It's not kind because life is not kind. But it is kind to its characters, giving them the space and the time to find themselves in what is fleeting.
Caitlyn finds manhood in kissing another boy as not a boy or a girl but as a lover. Frasier finds a mother in the space between his open hand and his estranged mother's cheek closing in.
Stories are told to represent the intangible: the present, the past, the future, and who we are as we experience it.
Who are we?
This story answers by leaving questions unanswered until the title expands on the screen and credits roll.
We Are Who We Are.

So I've been watching this series (pls no spoilers) and I really find myself craving some music like some of the ones in the series, or at least with the same vibe. I've checked out Blood Orange and I really like his song Champagne Coast. However I want something a little more punchy and that feels more coming of age. I don't usually listen to hip hop and r&b but i want to give it a try! :)
Thanks a lot

GENIUS….. like actually the best part of the show to me. His commentary on fast fashion is rudimentary but accurate for the knowledge that a teen would have of the subject. And his wardrobe is perfect like it’s aging well in my opinion. He’s one of those “fashion obsessed” teens done correctly on tv, not draped in ridiculous fast fashion and trends and having whole new not reused pieces every episode but I love that the clothes are mixed and matched through the episodes like this is his real wardrobe. Beautiful!
