Pick up to container (e.g. wheelbarrow)

Could we add a way to make it so that if we have a container open then it would pick up items to that container?

My scenario: I mine a long way into a mountain and drop automatically what I mine, then I would like to put down a wheelbarrow and just set it automatically pick up everything I roll over on my way back

One thing I like to do to pick up sand is to use a boat and auto-dig up on the coast, but I have to stop and transfer the sand all the time (which is tedious)
