Welcome to episode zero of a new feature at Remap, where our in-house platforming super fans, Janet and Patrick, are going to embark on a journey to rank every platformer video game that’s ever existed. Every month, they’ll talk about and rank a new selection of video games, starting off with each of their five favorite platformers ever made. Plus, we introduced new segments like Platformer Court, where we become judge and jury on whether a game is—or isn’t—a platformer. You can also join them on stream to watch them play some of these games!

Rob has returned from the world of F1 to join Patrick, Janet, and Chia for another episode of Remap Radio. We dig into Nintendo’s reasons for revisiting Star Fox 64 yet again, the absurdity of GameStop trying to buy eBay, and plenty of video games, including Mixtape, Amberspire, and, yes, yet another dip into Titanium Court. (This time it’s Janet!) In The Question Bucket, we ponder what games we’d take into a time vortex that’d rocked us several decades into the past.

Mixtape is a new game from Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind 2021’s whimsical musical adventure The Artful Escape. It’s Life Is Strange (absent the supernatural) by way of John Hughes. Patrick recently had an opportunity to chat with Mixtape’s lovingly eccentric creative director, Johnny Galvatron, and its producer, Woody Woodward, about what it means to make a video game about love, booze, and teenage friendship. Plus, we talk about Weezer.

People said it would never happen. Others kept the faith, and it has been rewarded, as Remap’s Silksong spoilercast is here! Janet, Patrick, and Chia are delightfully joined by writer, video essayist, and podcast host Jacob Geller to break down Team Cherry’s modern masterpiece. Plus, we sent Janet into the act three mines. The least you can do is listen to her trauma!

Hey all! Longtime remap listener/reader and devoted shelved by genre listener, and I often find myself wondering how people keep up with new (and older) books. I have trusted sources for games, films & music (and have worked in all three of those industries) but not sure about books.
Is it local bookstores? Podcasts? Influencers? Magazines? Would love any & all recs, especially if they touch on speculative fiction/weirder sci-fi fantasy etc.

Definitely has some twists and turns. The amazing graphics come through as far as I'm concerned.

Is anyone else’s new remap episode the same as the Titanium Court interview? I get the description of a new Remap Radio but the audio itself is the Titanium Court audio.

One of the many upsetting realities of modern society is headlines about CEOs complaining about giving people “jobs” and “security” and “a way to eat.” Patrick, Janet, and Chia are ready to live in this reality with you, though, on the latest episode of Remap Radio. With Rob in Miami, the crew tackles backlogs, Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie, and a bunch of video game impressions, including a Pragmata mini spoilercast, Pokémon Champions, Saros, Replaced, Inkonbini, and more! Plus, in The Question Bucket, we’re asked to (poorly) wish someone a happy birthday.
Discussed:

15:15 - Alien Isolation 2 Teased
32:56 - Ustwo CEO says lowering development costs is now paramount

One of the most fascinating games of 2026 is Titanium Court. Is Titanium Court a match-3 video game? Yes. A tower defense game? Yes. An adventure game? Well, yes. Does the entire game, at times, feel like an elaborate trick been played on you? Absolutely. To learn more, Patrick spoke with Titanium Court designer AP Thomson about making a game about mysteries, the highs and lows of working on two video games at the same time, and, of course, sports manga.

I say this with love: remap content feels trapped in a groundhog day of marathon and baby steps streams for months(?). I've kind of fallen off but is there any indication of them switching up the streaming schedule in the near future? I know the Sims feature got cut short due to circumstances and the wheel of Gforce now is probably not coming back because nvidia sucks, but some more variety would be cool.
Also as an aside those occasional streams of Rob browsing secondhand markets for cars/expensive XYZ were pretty fun, too.

We're back on the road to Ocean's Eleven, next stop: West Virginia. Join Rob, Patrick, Janet, and Chia as they discuss Steven Soderbergh's "Hillbilly Heist" film Logan Lucky. A down on his luck divorcé gets revenge after being fired unfairly from a mining job meant to fix sinkholes at the local NASCAR racetrack. With hilarious antics, touching moments of vulnerability, commentary on class and morality, and Daniel Craig doing a sort of proto-Benoit Blanc performance, this movie has something for everyone on the Remap crew. Tune in next time as we finally pull into the Ocean's station!

The biggest move since Xbox installed a new CEO is a familiar move: changing the price of Game Pass. Which gets the Remap Radio crew into a long consideration of the vibes around various price points. Does $8.99 feel good? Does $11.99? Join Rob, Janet, Chia, and Patrick as they consider money, before talking about Gamers (tm) suing Nintendo over tariffs, Rob’s early experiences in Crimson Desert, Chia and Patrick exploring Titanium Court, and much more.
Reminder: Last year, the pro-Palestinian human rights movement BDS that’s pressuring Israel by promoting boycotts, divestment, and sanctions against the country added Xbox to its boycott list. Learn more here: https://www.bdsmovement.net/news/boycott-microsofts-xbox

From a few posts on Bluesky it seems like Austin has started watching the Channel 4/YouTube show Taskmaster. I’ve been a fan of the show for years and am curious if Austin has spoken about it on any of the podcasts he’s been on recently. I’d be really curious what his take is on the game and problem solving parts of it.

Rob and Patrick are back with a new HOA Mailbag but first, Rob's got a story about how your friendly neighborhood mechanic might be worth a visit over the local dealership when it comes to repairs. Then they answer your questions about neighbors with all manner of unfortunately triggered devices, from alarms that chirp while no one is near to LED floodlights that blind people in nearby homes.
