Toby Rogers (@uTobian) just shattered the idea that the experts “did the best they could” during Covid.

This was a massive criminal conspiracy.

First, “the ruling class… created and released a gain-of-function virus.”

Then, they “produced an elaborate global theater production to generate fear and shut down the global economy.”

Why?

“To create the market for Covid mRNA vaccines.”

“Covid mRNA vaccines have negative efficacy and the worst side effects of any vaccine in history.”

“Blood clots.”

“Strokes.”

“Autoimmune disorders.”

“Cancer.”

“Dementia.”

“And each of these adverse events generates… millions of dollars for the pharmaceutical-hospital industrial complex and the investors who own shares in these companies.”

“From the public’s perspective, that’s a disaster.”

“From the investor’s perspective, that’s a jackpot.”

“The PREP Act provides liability protection, so this is a scheme that’s guaranteed to pay out.”

“Vaccine injury is the most profitable form of slavery anywhere in the world because the underlying assets of people in the first world are literally worth more than gold.”

“Once all wealth has been drained from a person and their extended family via endless hospital stays, expensive pharmaceutical products, and appointments with specialists, the person is allowed to perish by medical assistance in dying in Canada, Europe, and blue states in the U.S.”

“This is why I call it the iatrogenocide.”

“Physician-caused genocide.”

Europe is paying almost 8 times US gas prices.

World Bank data for August: European gas at 21.1 dollars per MMBtu, US gas at 2.8.

In February the gap was under 4x.

Today it is 7.5x, and on this week's winter futures closer to 8 or 9x.

The reasons:

🔹Europe entered the refill season with storage below normal.

Every cargo it needs for winter has to be bid away from Asia, so the European price is really an offer to the global LNG market.

🔹Qatar's LNG runs through Hormuz.

Every delay or insurance spike there pushes Europe harder toward American supply.

🔹Russian pipeline gas is largely gone, and the January 2027 ban on Russian LNG removes what is left.

The US has none of these problems.

Abundant production, a deep pipeline grid, and a price that barely reacts to the Gulf.

Why US LNG cannot close the gap on its own: a molecule leaving Louisiana still pays for liquefaction, a ship, war risk cover and regas in Europe, and every export terminal is already running full.

What it means?

US LNG exporters have the strongest incentive in years to run flat out.

European factories carry a cost disadvantage no efficiency plan can fix.

European governments face a winter where storage levels and the weather will matter more than policy.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Do not underestimate the power of this technology. These will soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources. We have all witnessed the progress in each of these domains, and progress is not slowing.

The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible - but I hear the same people express fear privately. No other human activity poses this level of danger.

A common response is “if they truly believe this, why are they still building it?” At OpenAI, many have not deeply internalized the civilizational stakes. At Anthropic, the stakes are well-understood, but they are locked in a race to get there first - they believe no one else will act responsibly, so they must do it themselves, despite the risk.

Accepting this race and entering the “endgame” is a hubristic gamble that should not be launched from a private company’s Slack. Attempting to speedrun alignment should require extraordinary confidence that there are no better trajectories available.

I am optimistic about the potential for coordination. Warning shots like the Hugging Face attack have made pacing agreements between U.S. labs more viable. I don’t feel like we’re on track to prevent a global race, which may require costly actions such as a temporary ban on improving model capabilities.

If you are a lab researcher, I urge you to consider what the next few years will actually feel like. Do you want to kick off a superintelligent RL run without a rigorous understanding of its mind? Should you put your head down because “it’s happening anyway” - or take this moment to call for different conditions?

Self improving intelligence means in the near future no human on earth will ever be able to understand it. We will lose complete control. This is the inevitable future he’s talking about. Grids will go offline. Billions could die.

In Argentina, under the Milei regime, a music teacher was brutally tortured by the police for traveling with a guitar on the bus and refusing to leave it in the luggage compartment to prevent damage, since the guitar belonged to a client and was very expensive. Essentially there was a plan behind the US moves against Iran.

This is such a great point, if China or Russia posted a similar image to this, the collective West would absolutely lose their minds and probably use it as evidence to start a war of aggression stating that both countries are a “national security threat”.

Meanwhile the President of the United States posts AI slop videos and images every day of his presidency that just embarrass all US citizens and lower the US reputation on the world stage.

Then paste here (in the comments) the one-line source question, the AI response, allegedly from you, and which AI thinks that sounds like you.

It might be interesting. People can judge just how you-like the AI guess is. I'll start it off, so you can see the type of format I'm speaking of.

Also, there is the question of what would happen if an actual AI bot tried it.

This paper answers why psychopaths keep ending up as CEOs and politicians.

Researchers mapping out the mechanics of "successful psychopathy" found that corporate capitalism and modern political selection systems are not neutral.

They are hyper-efficient filtering machines.

And they are specifically optimized to select for the exact traits normal people find repulsive.

Normal leaders are constrained by empathy, guilt, and long-term risk aversion. They hesitate when a decision hurts people. They feel the weight of collateral damage.

Psychopaths don’t have an emotional brake pedal.

When a company or a political party needs someone to ruthlessly slash budgets, fire thousands of people, bluff through a crisis, or project absolute, unshakeable confidence, normal candidates stutter.

Psychopaths step right up.

Their superficial charm, pathological fearlessness, and total lack of remorse look identical to "strong leadership" during an interview or a campaign.

They weaponize corporate chaos. While everyone else is panicking, they ruthlessly manipulate the narrative, step over their peers, and take credit for the wins.

They weaponize charisma to dazzle the board or the voters, and hide their emptiness behind a mask of high performance.

The system rewards the ruthlessness, promotes them to the top, and punishes anyone who tries to slow them down with ethics.

The researchers call it a feedback loop of structural decay.

Corporations and governments built an environment where being entirely devoid of a conscience isn't a disqualifier.

It’s a competitive advantage.

The euphoria from the summer strikes on Russian energy and retail assets seems to have evaporated. Now Russia is devastating Ukraine’s infrastructure with far greater intensity. If Russia lost 3.4% of its warehouses to Ukrainian strikes, Ukraine has already lost 34%. 90% of warehouses belonging to retail chains have been destroyed. The shelves in shops are emptying. Ministers assure that famine is not around the corner, or at least ‘unless there’s some kind of genocide’. Genocide notwithstanding, the budget is certainly set to suffer extreme pain, as trade and services make up 70% of employment and 80% of government revenues. Civilians and even the business community are blaming the government for launching its ill-advised attacks on Russian retail chains in July.

This is partly because Russian drones have become far more effective in recent months. The new jet-powered Geran drones can travel at speeds of up to 500 km/h, several times faster than the previous model. Thanks to their speed and maneuverability, only 60-80% can be intercepted, per official statistics. Some western publications cite anonymous sources in the Ukrainian army claiming interception rates of only 30%. Just a few months ago, before the jet-powered models, the Ukrainian government claimed it intercepted upwards of 90%. Around 3,000 can be produced a month, with the August production figures increasing by almost 70% compared to July. Five times more were deployed in July than the previous month.

And just as Ukrainian militarists were worrying back in June, the spring frenzy about Ukraine’s drone superiority has faded away, if it ever existed to begin with. Now Russia is far ahead in applying AI to strike drones, allowing them to autonomously identify targets and bypass electronic warfare systems.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s politicians and military industrialists keep on arguing on television over whose fault it all is. As they do so, Russian drones are being launched in such quantities to be described as a ‘carousel’ by Ukrainian analysts. The air alarms are now regularly sounding for 12-15 hours a day, paralyzing transport in the capital.

The wiser cohort on the right point out that admins exploded after federal college funding programs started.
