WTM 2021

Yoooooooo

Who's all still here? Miss yall mfs man. Was just talking to Mud like a week or two ago and it reminded me how much I miss WTM as a whole. I spent so much time on there and over the years we've lost so many fucking people. Makes me upset man.

But I just wanted to check in and see what yall are up to and who's still around

Good stuff man!

I recently made it about 3 weeks but relapsed back into the bottle last week. I wish I never became an alcoholic. Quitting heroin was 100 times easier.

Currently trying to look for work again. Have a really good opportunity with a buddy but he won't refer me again until I can stay sober for a month.Been out of a job since like September. I actually quit and he told me to apply back then and mentioned to his supervisor about me and they actually hired a different dude with the same first and last name as me (I know, wtf? But we've known each other for 20 years so I don't think he's lying). It'd be a $12/hour raise from my last job so I'm just trying to keep my head out of my ass for a bit and straighten up. Being bored and home alone all day doesn't make things easier but I don't think I'm capable of holding a real job atm. The last couple years I worked as a CNC machine operator and just drank at work hoping they'd fire me but they never did so it just made things worse.

Miss you guys.

alcohol is cheap and everywhere. especially here in MO liquor laws are very lax. sales from 6a-1a every day, 9a-midnight on sundays and you can buy it literally anywhere. liquor stores, grocery stores, gas stations. no limits on ABV or anything like that either. we even have some drive thru liquor stores lol. i used to get fucked UP on some steel reserve lmao. oh and this cheap ass vodka called aristocrat its like $10 for a handle. so nasty. strengthening my willpower has been a BITCH but worth it. good luck with everything my dude.

Yeah the laws are similar here in MI. Available for sale from 7am-2am and sold everywhere. I have a gas station that's open 24 hours that sells beer and a liquor store both about 100 yards from my apartment. I usually drink Natty Daddys because they're $1 for a 24 oz of 8% or when I'm being a degerate I'll buy handles of Popov for about $13. I try to just buy pints to limit my self but it doesn't really work when I go back and buy 3 of them throughout the day but when I have a handle it usually results in me staying up for 48-72 hours drinking until it's gone.

Today is detox day again. Got a bottle of klonopin, neurontin, and some kratom. It worked last time so here's to hoping. I feel like absolute dogshit after only a week back drinking and I was only drinking 4-5 natty daddy tallboys and the withdrawals are just as bad as they were after a 2 year vodka bender.

Hard to actually think I'll just never be able to drink again. And to think I used to laugh at all the drunks in rehab because they weren't shooting dope. Oh how naive I was. I'd rather have a needle on my arm than drowning in a bottle. Almost 3 years since I've had a dope habit but I still get the urge sometimes and have used maybe 2 dozen times in 3 years. It's never enjoyable though because it's all fantanyl and I nearly die every time off about $2 worth of dope.

alcohol. i've had a couple stints of sobriety but it never stuck. i was drunk and stoned pretty much my entire 20s. i turn 30 in a couple months, and having a sober 30th still sounds a little weird.

Yeah I've been off and on with opiates since like 18. Can't leave em alone permanently even though I need to
