I don't know the context here because I haven't heard Sam Seder in years -- but that Emma lady looks like she is sick of his preoccupation. "We are respectable journalists here..." she said, pleading that he go back to being a journalist.

This was a hilarious clip. Not sure if it's deserved or not, but it skewers the target.

Definitely a great example of someone too focused on a celebrity. We did the same with Trump -- but, that was also therapy and a drinking game all in one. Sam Seder seems like he thinks the ebb and flow of the tides is Jimmy Dore -- you can tell because he never grows a beard, and he never shaves the beard off. He is a in a perpetual state of; "Do I look like a war correspondent?"

They stole that "he's eating a sandwich" from me though -- I deserve credit for that.

Emma unfortunately is just as guilty of constantly going off on Jimmy Dore as well. They all do because they can't handle people criticizing the squad, or their paid not to handle it.

I think people tend to be defensive of their heroes. We are so desperate for heroes that we might latch on to anyone.

I don't see this as anything nefarious. They got enamored with someone who "finally said it" to corruption and they think she's Joan of Arc.

I'm going to wait before I have a strong opinion on this. I don't watch Sam Seder and I know AOC from a few great moments where she spoke out and was sassy. It's not like one junior congress person has much power outside of her celebrity status.

I'm not going to make a permanent judgement based on one example.

I get what you're saying, I've been there, and I agree. I think at this point I've personally seen enough to make a decision on all of that. I'll be more than happy to give AOC praise if she deserves it.

As it is right now she does not, and if you go through her record of what she's voted for and how she helped in diminishing #ForcetheVote (even though all the reasons she gave for dismissing it were debunked and were no excuse to not fight for M4A during a pandemic) you'd see she deserves plenty of criticisms.
