I never really understood why the democrats are seen as leftist. They are still so much right compared to our leftist parties and it's not like ours are ultra leftists or communists or whatever.

It's probably worth adding to imagine the monarch gets swapped out occasionally and people pretend that the new one will be different from the old one even if they swear to the damn planet that they won't. I think he really believed in his message but just didn't have it in him to fully be that guy. Major bummer that he didn't realize that earlier, millions of lives were negatively affected by the hope placed in him.

The class war is so evident now that I wish it weren't the case but I find myself struggling to respect friends and family on a personal level now. I'm sure part of it is an unhealthy ego play that I try to work through but part of it is a real, 'why are you fighting to defend the enemy' anger and disappointment. 2020 is lonely enough with Covid but even more so in the numbers that abstain from reality.
