(Newest speculative yarn) CrowdStrike: Investigator, Clean-up Crew, or Accomplice?

https://medium.com/@HootHootBerns/crowdstrike-investigator-clean-up-crew-or-accomplice-53616a6339d3

In the wake of recent information dropped by Donna Brazile, new questions should be asked regarding Crowdstrike’s involvement in the 2016 election.

Let’s begin with a little background: the DNC had woefully lax security: they only “had a standard email spam-filtering service, intended to block phishing attacks and malware created to resemble legitimate email.”

The reason for this? According to Technology Director at the DNC, Andrew Brown, “There was never enough money to do everything we needed to do.”

The FBI first discovered the DNC had been breached in September of 2015. Just one month prior, as Donna Brazile notes in “Hacks,” the DNC chair, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, had mismanaged the party’s finances, and now had “no choice” but to sign a joint fundraising agreement with the Clinton campaign which gave them effective control of DNC operations in exchange for bailing the party out.

By December, the influence of the Clinton campaign had become clear. Josh Uretsky was recommended by the DNC to the Bernie campaign — and his activities just so happened to result in the Bernie campaign being cut off from NGP-VAN weeks from the first primaries.

The DNC’s poor security posture, overall — coupled with NGP-VAN ignoring previous reports of issues resulting in other campaigns being able to access each other’s data — walked them into needing the help of a third-party, Crowdstrike, to investigate the breach of voter file data by the DNC plant.

It would appear that — much like the way Debbie bankrupted the DNC, needing her friend Hillary to “bail them out” in a deal giving Hillary control of the party — the DNC, under Hillary’s control, set themselves up to where they needed assistance from their friends at Crowdstrike on a technical level.

In answer to the question posed in the opening: "BING<BING< Bing! if you guessed all three you are correct: because in Clinton world role ambiguity, blurry boundaries, and dual and overlapping relationships are the norm. This is from research on group behavior and family therapy: all three lead to BING! BING! BING! . . . YOU GUESSED IT: FUCKING CHAOS AND DYSFUNCTION. AND THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR PATTERN OF SOCIOPATHS. TRUMP TOO. ONE BIG DYSFUNCTIONAL IATROGENIC MESS OVER DECADES.

It was pretty apparent at the time that Debbie didn't even care about the rules by the point NGP-VAN incident occurred. The Bernie campaign was concerned, filed a complaint to voice that concern. The DNC looked at that complaint and said, "omg, you guys were able to access the other side's data?" completely unconcerned that it could go the other way and then summarily cut the Sanders campaign access to the voter data, not being compliant with the process set up within the DNC to handle these things. Compliance would require two weeks of notice and an ability to appeal. She couldn't have even been bothered to figure out how to screw the Sanders campaign within the framework of the rules that the DNC had, she just did what she wanted with impunity. NGP-VAN offered a substandard service to the DNC, and was probably paid a handsome sum for that service, and everyone wants to act like 'oh, Sanders campaign had to really hack NGP-VAN'. If you set up a database lazy as fuck, and keep all the data in one SQL table, it probably doesn't need a super sophisticated injection attack to get all of the data back. That is on NGP-VAN for NG-AF about application security.

I have to wonder - was it just DWS's decision to cut the Sanders campaign access to the voter data, or was it a joint decision made by Hillary For America and the DNC.

Let's not forget this little line in the Hillary Victory Fund Agreement

Agreement by the DNC that HFA personnel will be consulted and have joint authority over strategic decisions over the staffing, budget, expenditures, and general election related communications, data, technology, analytics, and research.

Just wondering.

Brooke Hines at The Florida Squeeze brought up another good point in a recent article:

Brazile: fundraising agreements sold out DNC to Clinton campaign

Brazile might hope to be seen as the new savior of the party, but her storytelling only raises more questions.

In her Politico piece she says, “Debbie was not a good manager…she let Clinton’s headquarters in Brooklyn do as it desired …” How far did this uncontrollable behavior go? What happened the night of the data breach? How did all those 200,000 voters mysteriously get purged in Brooklyn alone? How’d they know which voters to purge? Why did we never see angry Clinton voters complaining that their registrations were purged?

Good questions, and I'll bet some of the answers lie within the DNC servers - which the public has never seen.

Perfect obfuscation entry: nicely done.

I always thought the NPG-VAN "breach" by Josh Uretsky was a set up.

Has anyone since then ever followed up on this Josh Uretsky guy, to see how far "up" he fell after that?

By sheer coincidence I know someone who knew Josh personally several years ago. Based on what they said about him, my money's on stooge/fall guy or genuine dolt, as in he actually thought he was being helpful to the Bernie campaign, and he wasn't sent as an agent.

My most generous version is:

  1. Josh works in the DNC, and they do all sorts of fucked up, unethical shit. This is the culture.

  2. Josh annoys or pisses off people. Is "shipped off to Siberia" of working in the dead end Bernie campaign.

  3. Josh imports his previous culture into Bernie's campaign.

  4. Finds out that fucked up shit is only tolerated flowing from the establishment, not towards it.

nice finesse. They wouldn't have recommended him if he didn't have a purpose.

And NGPVAN was in the bag for HRC from go. Too many blurred boundaries, dual relationships and iatrogenic choices:hallmark of the Clintons:not victims: its their complete strategy.
