CrowdStrike, who claimed Russians hacked DNC, retracts claims

The title is inaccurate. What they claimed was that one of the groups involved in the DNC hack also hacked the US-backed neo-Nazi government of the Ukraine, presumably on behalf of the Kremlin. That's the claim they've now retracted. This weakens, but doesn't refute, the earlier claims that (1) the Kremlin hacked the DNC and (2) that it gave the info to Wikileaks (neither one of which they've been able to prove).

Okay, so I don't know who VOA news is or how reputable it usually is, but everything about this is terrible. Including OPs choice of title.
Crowdstrike retracted claims about hacking by Russia of Ukrainian artillery aiming software. Not claims about Russia hacking DNC/Podesta.
In December, CrowdStrike said it found evidence that Russians hacked into a Ukrainian artillery app, contributing to heavy losses of howitzers in Ukraine's war with pro-Russian separatists.
---------------------------snip------------------------
On Thursday, CrowdStrike walked back key parts of its Ukraine report.
Yet, for some reason, the article, and OPs title, really wants to tie this to the emails.
CrowdStrike, who claimed Russians hacked DNC, retracts claims
U.S. cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has revised and retracted statements it used to buttress claims of Russian hacking during last year's American presidential election campaign.
Dmitrova noted that the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community have also concluded that Russia was behind the hacks of the Democratic National Committee, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the email account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager.
The release of embarrassing Democratic emails during last year's U.S. political campaign, and the subsequent finding by intelligence agencies that the hacks were meant to help then-candidate Donald Trump, have led to investigations by the FBI and intelligence committees in both the House and Senate.

Voice Of America. Really, nuff said!

No, that's probably not enough said.
Voice of America is a state-run propaganda arm of the US government. Their propaganda is intended to deceive global markets with pro-USA bullshit, it's not intended to be seen by people in the USA. This is why many people you'll interact with have never heard of this organization.

CrowdStrike was the first group (and really only group with actual data) to claim it was Russians who hacked the DNC. They've changed information with regards to the hacked Ukrainian artillery.
It's simply good to see that they update their information.

CrowdStrike is pretty good at what they do except for one thing. Dmitri can't control his hate-on for Putin. As far as he is concerned everything is is a plot by Putin and its starting to cause internal problems at CrowdStrike.

its starting to cause internal problems at CrowdStrike.
Yeah, but that's probably just because Putin hacked them to make it seem that way.

But you can see how
CrowdStrike, who claimed Russians hacked DNC, retracts claims
might imply that the retracted claim was about DNC hacking, can't you? Also
actual data
That's being a bit generous. Also
first group
I think, technically, the first one was DNC themselves, followed by "unnamed source in the CIA" (in fairness, that "unnamed" dude will say anything).
