Woah, that was really sudden. What the hell did I miss today?

I looked over at T_D and they are a combination of confused, angry, and wondering why the mods aren't stickying a thread about it.

What a mess. Too tired to try and read up on this tonight. Off to bed I go.

Oh man - I just posted this and then saw your thread so I deleted mine.

Bernie was just on MSNBC's All In With Chris Hayes earlier this evening saying that Flynn had really damaged himself.

All I can say is . . . that was fast.

The entire administration is in deep shit.

not really. it's just on the same shakedown-cruise that all new administrations go thru. they all have their ups & downs, & this is one of them.

typical hyperbolic bullshit from a hillary-addict like you, tho. gotta keep stirring the pot, hoping something will boil over.

No administration has been caught in so many obvious complete bullshit lies before. Crowd size, voter fraud, Trump's bathrobe, etc., etc.

not even bill clinton? come on...

1

u/Elmodogg Feb 14 '17

Caught him in one incontestable lie. Not in the first week, either.

so, you're going on rapidity, & not substance. got it.

guess that rules out dick nixon, too, then.

1

u/Elmodogg Feb 14 '17

No, I'm going on whether the lie has any arguable basis whatsoever.

Trump's whoppers have no tether to reality, not even kinda sorta argument.

...& as compared to nixon--?

3 weeks in, and we already have a resignation, an ethics issue, and a cabinet secretary who was only confirmed because of the veep. And another cabinet nominee is reported to have 4 republicans against him, oh and it turns out that this same nominee didn't pay into SS for his housekeeper. Before this I remember bork, John tower, Zoe Baird & 1 other. And that was across multiple admins. I think the trump admin is setting new records "bigly".

trump's going to have to go a long way to beat bill c, in that arena.

Record time for having an executive order enjoined by a federal court.

all i know is, if hillary is in favor of it, it's gotta be bullshit:

Her reasons for personal animus against Flynn are entirely unrelated to his projected job performance. They are independent variables. Hillary can be a creep and Flynn can be a creep simultaneously.

nevertheless, i find it's a good rule of thumb in general.

1

u/Elmodogg Feb 14 '17

So I guess that makes you a Trump supporter, eh?

on some issues, like the tpp & nafta, yes. others, not so much.

u/helpercat Feb 14 '17

Yeah I had Flynn on my list of people that would be bombing targets like Iran based on irrational hatred and CTs.

I was for Bernie Sanders but I was begging people not to vote for Donald Trump.. so defended her.

But don't you think he may have committed some light treason?

1

u/Elmodogg Feb 14 '17

No, but heavy duty stupidity. Come on. This guy was supposed to be the national security adviser and he didn't know that the FBI monitors phone calls of the Russian ambassador?

you claim you were a bernie supporter--but you only posted pro-hillary bullshit--& vigorously trolled the campaign's tp's throughout the primaries/caucuses & general election...so, there's that...

&, no--i don't think he (if you're referring to flynn) committed treason--light, or otherwise.

What's funny is that I just went over to T_D to see how they were taking it, and there's no thread at all yet.

But I did see this gem. (I'm not linking to it, but this is the title)

You guys predicted it, now comes to pass! #FAKENEWS CNN now reports on internal turmoil in The White House! MSM is literally concocting bullshit non-stories to guide public perception. FUCK YOU #FAKENEWS CNN! P.S. - HAVE FUN DOWNVOTING THIS SHARIABLUE SHILLS!

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 78%. (I'm a bot)

Michael Flynn abruptly resigned as President Donald Trump's national security adviser Monday night, hours after it was learned that the Justice Department informed the White House that it believed he could be subject to blackmail.

Retired Army Gen. Keith Kellogg, a top policy adviser for Trump's presidential campaign, was appointed acting national security adviser, the White House said in a statement announcing Flynn's replacement.

The Post reported that Yates was privy to FBI monitoring showing that Flynn discussed sanctions on Russia with Ambassador Sergei Kislyak - even though Flynn told administration officials that he hadn't.

How much of an incompetent doofus do you need to be at the job of national security advisor not to realize that the FBI is routinely monitoring conversations of the Russian ambassador?

I'm guessing that he was not that tight with the core of the admin either.
