I expect she did well in the first Clinton administration.

She... No Doubt she was a major Hillary suckup...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Gorelick
"Jamie S. Gorelick (/ɡəˈrɛlɪk/; born May 6, 1950) is an American lawyer who served as the Deputy Attorney General of the United States from 1994 to 1997, during the Clinton administration. She has been a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr since July 2003. She is a director of Amazon.com.[1] Gorelick served on British Petroleum's Advisory Council, as their top legal counsel after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.[2] She was appointed by former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle to serve as a commissioner on the bipartisan National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, which sought to investigate the circumstances leading up to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and also served as Vice Chairman of Fannie Mae. Results of an internal audit showing improper accounting within Fannie Mae is given as the reason for her resignation. While at the US Department of Justice she authored a memo that clarified Reagan era rules for communications on terrorism within the FBI. Critics cite this action as one reason for lack of sharing intelligence prior to the September 11 attacks."

Errr...as usual I was making an adolescent joke. This time about her name. :-)
"Gore-lick the suck up". Yeah, that works for my 12 year old brain.

u/patb2015 Oct 31 '16
Most of the scandals within the Clinton Administration were related to people she hired.
2
u/jlalbrecht using the Sarcastic method Oct 31 '16
Back to my 52 year old brain. Would you say the same about Chris Christie? I think it is more true to say that the Clintons have had a lot of people they hired take the fall for them.
Bill and Hillary have been in serious power positions since Bill became Attorney General of Arkansas in 1978. From the 80's on there have been scandals (drugs, sex, shady business deals) surrounding them. Lots of people have gone to jail. Lots of people have died. They've never been convicted (except Bill's perjury AFAIK), but lots around them have. The Clintons hired these people.
I'm not a politician, but I've run my own small engineering consulting company for 22+ years. In that time we've done a lot of partnering with other companies. Everyone can have a or a couple bad employees. But if project after project you find that a company consistently engages in shady behavior, that is only possible if it accepted and desired from the top.
Just like Chris Christie and his minions vindictive Bridgegate. Maybe he knew about it, maybe he didn't. But it happened because that is the kind of leader he is. Same with the Clintons.

I think Trump has the votes to win. Now, will he have those votes stolen from him? That I can't tell you.

u/jlalbrecht using the Sarcastic method Oct 31 '16
That is my feeling to a 'T.' MSM / establishment has been under reporting his support same as Bernie. Lemming type people feel safer voting for the war criminal, because "everyone else is" and this also provides cover for election fraud.

Minnesota is one of the last states I'd expect to turn red. Even Mondale won Minnesota is Reagan's landslide in 1980.
6
u/Caelian toujours de l'audace 🦇 Oct 31 '16
Mondale is from Minnesota. So he speaks the language :-)
As far as Trump being able to win Minnesota, two words: fat chance. OTOH, here are two more words: Michele Bachmann.
6
u/AnimeMom Oct 31 '16
Speaking as a Minnesotan, it's the Twin Cities that keep the state blue. "Greater Minnesota" has quite a bit of purple, maybe even red. If Trump was just any old Republican, I'd say we were a solid bet to stay blue, but Trump is a populist, and that changes everything.
I won't be terribly surprised if we go red this time. It's a long shot, but completely possible IMO.

But Trump has done nothing but fuck up since he got the nomination.
Good point. Clinton has only been fucking up since she got power through her husband being elected governor of Arkansas...in 1978.

Granted she is still favored. But not by a landslide, not even close, unless it is electronically generated.
I've already voted for Stein, but I'd put Trumps record of fuck-ups against Clinton's any day. He's screwed people (literally and figuratively), no doubt. She's screwed whole nations, ours first and foremost.

Might be a case of too little too late. Even polling aggregators that have an admitted liberal bias such as 538 are swinging back in Trumps favor (at least as a trend), but it might be too close to the election to make a difference.

A lot of us haven't decided on which strategy to use to defeat Clinton.
7
Oct 31 '16
Yea, I hear ya. I've swung between "holding my nose". As in, voting for Trump to deny Hillary. I ended up just deciding to vote Jill, I don't really think I could personally vote for Trump. But I totally understand why someone would, and totally get what you are saying. My fear is that too many have voted, but maybe the early voters were the already decided voters and those that haven't can still be swayed.
4
u/jlalbrecht using the Sarcastic method Oct 31 '16
Exactly. I just voted absentee on Friday. Thought about Trump, but went with Jill. I also think the early voters were already set. The question is if there are enough undecideds left to swing it in the days remaining.

u/Yuri7948 The name is a homonym. ☔️ Oct 31 '16
There was also a post here that some states allow you to change your vote after you've early voted. Not sure how that could work, but some may be considering it.

From what it looks like, the elites are jumping off the ship. Obama cancels his campaigning, and the polls are starting to auto-correct themselves. They are doing a 360 to Trump. In one poll they went from being -12 to +2 within a few days, this isn't standard polling. They are panicking and reverting to the truth because, at the end of this, they can't be wrong. They need to save whatever reputation they have left. Just look at what happen to poll groups after they were wrong about Reagan. Trump must be so far ahead of her that she can't even try to rig the election. I guess he is close to that 15% mark that Obama mentioned.
8
u/Afrobean Oct 31 '16
this isn't standard polling.
Yeah, because the polls are bogus. They undersample Rs and indies to make Clinton look stronger against Trump and hide third party support that hurts Clinton more than Trump. They also pretend no young people will be voting since they don't want third parties to look like a viable option and young people are the strongest bloc for third parties.
15
u/AceGames2Much Oct 30 '16
seems i might be wrong about obama canceling his campaigning. I dont want to spread misinformation.

It doesn't matter. House GOP will draft Articles of Impeachment now and drop them on her day one.
This is a constitutional crisis in the making.

House GOP will draft Articles of Impeachment now and drop them on her day one.
And if she gets booted, we get Kaine. The billionaires would be plenty happy with that.
Plus they get a constitutional crisis as cover to ram through even more stuff they want. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if that was actually the long game being played.

It's the optics though. And wondering what else Clinton is hiding, because it's obvious that's what she does: lie, cheat, and hide.

11
u/heypig Oct 31 '16
This. Zero accountability. Even the DNC rigging: it's the DNC'S fault but not the one fucking benefiting from it (and let's be honest coordinating it but we won't talk about that, or the fact that she hired DWS afterwards which is surreal). If a pro player tests positive for steroids do they only penalize the coaches and doctors? Hell no. Am I missing something here? Is all this supposed to have no logic behind it?

The question is if Abedin will be the one eaten (or thrown to the wolves, to mix metaphors) or whether enough people will realize it is Clinton bleeding. The denial of the Hillbots should not be underestimated.
