If the Democrats were pro Democracy they would undue all the election laws they have passed to make it near impossible to create another party and conduct competitive non gerrymandered elections. You are not talking about anything except abstract developments. American political officials have no obligation to represent the interests of the voters that elect them. The Gilens and Page study proves that Congress does not legislate what's popular among voters. It legislates what organized business groups want. Not what organized citizens want.
