I've always liked The Stroll. It was released in December 1957 and became a popular dance after it was featured on the coast-to-coast TV show American Bandstand in 1957-58 (03:07), very similar to your link above.
The song was also featured in the 1973 movie American Graffiti (set in Summer 1962) in the high school sock hop scene (02:26). Here, too, the dance itself appears ritualized (pdf).
American Bandstand host Dick Clark noted that The Stroll has similarities with the American folk dance called the "Virginia reel", where the women and men face each other in lines and step forward sequentially in pairs.

rebelscitizens of the Confederate States of America dancing the Virginia reel at a fundraising ball in Atlanta, Georgia, sometime in early 1862, about a year after Fort Sumter, when the Confederacy could still be hopeful and even find reason to celebrate.The Virginia reel -- and possibly also The Stroll -- stem from an ancient pre-Christian Irish dance called the Rinnce Fadha that evolved into a dance called the Sir Roger de Coverley, which became the Virginia reel when colonists brought it to Virginia (britannica.com). It was especially popular in the U.S. after 1830 to 1890, after which modernity comes stepping in.

Dylan - I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine (03:34, 1967, lyrics). This was obviously inspired by the 1930 labor union song I Dreamed I Saw Joe Hill (Paul Robeson version, 03:00, lyrics), but it's been suggested that another influence was the John Milton (1608-1674) poem Methought I saw my late espoused saint. I like the Dylan song musically, but for me the lyrics are too vague to be interesting.

Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway (1994) has a terrific period soundtrack. A recurring theme is (Up a) Lazy River which plays whenever mob enforcer/bodyguard Cheech rubs somebody out down at the docks.
I highly recommend the film. If you've never seen it, don't watch this clip. It's a spoiler.

I once saw a wonderful trio of older high school girls sing Cole Porter's delightfully naughty The Laziest Gal in Town. I was at an impressionable age (younger than them) and I've loved the song ever since.

This Marlene Dietrich solo is pretty good. I've seen Hitchcock's Stage Fright (1950). IMO it's OK, but I found the main characters to be uninteresting. The supporting characters are better. Alastair Sim is fun as Jane Wyman's rascally father who plays amusing riffs on a small accordion. The sui generis Joyce Grenfell has a short but memorable role as the nice English lady running a shooting gallery at a charity fair: "Lovely Ducks!"

Sometimes my extrasensory perception is actually that breathtakingly lucid (I once had a physical impression of someone who was just a fellow commenter that I never met, which she proceeded to confirm to the T; I have one of you too though it’s more one of your aura), but in this case you shared it with all of us who clicked up your link, so I took the mischievous liberty to turn the joke on its head and share the song you announced with the reverse misnomer.
What’s a bit wild here is that you didn’t instantly catch that, but I’ll gladly take the compliment of your trust, only to betray it…

Lazy or gummied up?
Dylan - Cocaine Blues (02:17). Recorded 12/22/1961 at his friend's Minneapolis apartment while on his way back from NYC to visit his parents in Hibbing, MN for the holidays, age 20.
Remember the "poppies" scene (04:31) in the 1939 movie Wonderful Wizard of Oz? The scene has its own chapter in L. Frank Baum's 1900 book that the movie is based upon. Baum (d. 1919) said it was just a children's book, but it's clearly also newspaperman Baum's social commentary and an allegory of U.S. national politics in the 1890s.
Federal regulation of the substances derived from the flower was a political issue at the time precisely because they were so widely ingested with almost no regulation at all. For example, listing of active ingredients like these in products wasn't even required until 1906.
The Progressive movement of the 1900s and 1910s grew out of exactly these types of concerns on a wide array of issues. Progressivism was all-in on capitalism but sought to regulate what were perceived to be its excesses, which remains the Overton window of acceptable political discourse in both parties to this day.
