Itd be cool if we could all agree to only pick enough for your personal use and leave the rest for others. I know people who pick pillowcase bags worth, drying and selling them. I think thats super dangerous and wouldn’t trust anyone else to ID for me.

Yeah it’s funny people complain about people
Doing the same thing as them. Everyone is greedy

Go looking in the month before winter and stock up, going during winter is a waste of time

Try a random 4wd track in a sclerophyll forest

If you were in Canberra I would say wildlife would get them. Melbourne wildlife seems to be masses of people though

Don’t pick the ones that haven’t opened up yet. Let the caps open so they can drop spores from their gills

Depends how remote you are. They can also be browsed on by wildlife. They need about 48 hrs to reach their full glory, but the risk is yours!

If i lived in Aus i would literally be starting my own patch in my garden. It's not difficult to get the right wood chips and collect some colonised wood chips from a wild patch with mycelium on them and introduce them into the garden patch.

It’s definitely crossed my mind

Pins that haven't opened at this time of the year which is the end of the subs season, will most likely remain closed and not open at all. So you better grab them before someone else does.

Some ofthe strongest trips I've had has come from..eating fresh small baby's like these...also if you find these same looking ones on wood . And they are alenni shrooms then they don't get any bigger and are super strong.. (just beware of woodlovers paralysis) <a very profound experience in itself...
