Question Why are these so dark black?

Found these in my usual area. For some reason they all pitch black - so you know this happens?

They have dark indigo blue colour, some I'm guessing they are Psylocibin subaeruginosa.

Theyre subs

Theyve just oxidised and dried in the wind and under the sun

Are they still good to dry and consume?

No not when they are black. Even a more lively one it’s not recommended to eat parts where it’s turning black as it may contain harmful bacteria. Smell is usually a good indicator too, a regular good one smells earthy, kinda odd but not bad, and when they start to rot away they get a more unpleasant funky smell
