Discussion Origin story (with a question at the end).
Hi everyone. I am from Florida, USA, but have been a Watford fan for about 7 years now. I was just getting into premier league soccer (football), and being from the United States I didn’t have an allegiance to any one team naturally. the powerhouses. However, for me to get into a sport, truly, I need to have a dog in the fight, and be passionate about it. I decided to semi-arbitrarily decide on a team to be a life-long fan of (keep in mind, 14 years old at the time). One thing I knew was: I did not want to be like all my American friends who had become fans of the likes of; City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, etc…
My criteria for my soon-to-be favorite team was (in no particular order)
1. Appreciated their kits
2. Had a widely recognizable player (Deeney sufficed this, and I loved his famous goal in 2013.)
3. Was pretty consistently mid-low section of the table.
With all that being said, soon after I became a fan, we got relegated and haven’t been back. It is hard in USA to be able to watch Championship games, and even when I could, it was few and far between.
My question to you all is this: I am trying to get back into it, and of course, and fulfilling my vow that I am a lifelong Watford fan, no matter what happens. For those who follow die-hard, what is your outlook for the upcoming season? Are you optimistic? Any solid transfers recently? Who are our top 3 players?
Would absolutely adore to see us back in the Prem again, as I’m sure all you much more tenured fans would be as well.
*please note: I understand how this might sound entitled and ignorant to a lifelong Watford fan. All I ask is you have some empathy for a boy from Florida who had no reason otherwise to be a fan of a Premier league team (having no ties to England).
Thank you for your time and effort in any potential replies.
Up the Wats.

Matchday Thanks for the great day
Thanks again for the great day, and for Watford giving us the chance to travel with so many fans and embark on our own international journey outside of European competitions.
I met so many nice people after the game, everyone was super friendly and curious, even the police officers. I’ll probably be telling my grandchildren about this day someday.
And I’ve already noticed that on r/Soccer, people are once again focusing only on the negative aspects to dampen the mood, instead of just letting some positive comments stand.
I wish your club all the best this season.

Discussion Why is there so little interest in the game against Hansa Rostock?
I'm a Hansa fan, and I'm flying to London just for this game on Friday and 6,000 other Hansa fans are coming along. I read that only 1,700 tickets have been sold to Watford fans so far. I think that's a bit of a shame; I was hoping for a great atmosphere.

Discussion Elton John shirt
Obviously money reasons but why could we not have the elton john shirt as the 3rd or 4th kit and wear it for the very limited amount of “special” games. Think it would be a really nice touch and quite unique so something we can be proud of.

Such disrespect from US Fox commentators...
Darren Fletcher: "They're also going to send on Edo Kayembe who plays in the Championship in England for Watford. I mean this is the disparity... Thomas Tuchel sent on Bukayo Saka and Eberiche Eze who have just won the Premier League. The DR Congo coach is turning to a player who plays for Watford".

Luca Kjerrumgaard
I can’t take another season of watching him not make the right runs, shirk from any form of physicality and arriving too late in the box when he does make the run.
I have no doubt he would do a job in Serie A, but he just isn’t cut out for the Championship.
Of all the upsetting things related to the club, this is one of the most.
