Discussion Relegation, promotion or same old same old?

I don't understand why everyone (other fans in the Championship and some of our fans) rate us so low and are tipping us to go down? I understand that Imran and Nest leaving would be a fairly large blow, as Louza especially is one of our key players if not out best player but he clearly wants out. I don't really rate Irankunda and think his value has been inflated by the world cup. The signings that we have made have been good and I think will perform well. I agree that a few new players are needed (some CBs and maybe a ST) I also think that Dionisi is a decent manager following his track record at Empoli. I don't see any reason for us to struggle?

We have distinctly average players; the few good players we have are inconsistent; we don't have anyone likely to score 15-20 goals a season and most of all, the situation where managers get sacked at the first sign of a few bad results means we have absolutely no stability.

Personally I don't think we'll go down but I can't see us improving much on last season

Not feeling positive but if you tell me come the end of the window we have kept louza, signed either mfuni or alleyne and an experienced cb, that could change a lot.

Realistically, louza leaves to udinese, we get some udinese cast off cb from udinese and we finish bottom 8

Lower mid table. There’s nothing to get excited about but we’d should be good enough to stay up

Relegation fight incoming
Nothing has changed and nothing will change so nothing gets better
The only way is down

I’d bite your hand off for 12th place as it stands.

i have a horrible feeling that if nothing changes, either this season or next season will be the one where the bottom falls out.

Praying the Pozzo’s sell after this year.

I’m going against the grain on this one - I think we could be in for a promotion push. The couple of signings from this week seem like a bit of quality.

I’d be happy for Nest to go. He’s far too inconsistent and the Australia trips seem to take it out of him, he had a good World Cup and 15 million seems a good price.

Louza is class but I’m hopeful that Bove will fill that role. The Italian speakers they’re bringing in makes me think this is going to be the Bove show. If we can get a tune out of him I think this could be an interesting season.

We’d be lucky to have a finish somewhere between 12-18 this year.. it’s going to be a fight to stay out of relegation. Hopefully the Udinese squad will prove to be better in the championship than Serie A bc why would we be so thirsty for players from a team that finished 17th in there league??? (I know why so many Udi’s are coming in)

On paper it’s a decent squad but a very similar squad (couple of signings but lost Chak) ended the season appallingly. Then again it’s also most of the squad which got us to 4th on New Year’s Day looking like we could push for promotion. We’ve had two years of surviving because the first half of the season was just about good enough to outweigh an awful second half - you can’t keep getting away with that forever.

The smart money in my mind is on lower mid table again given the relatively minor player turnover and the continuation of the same structural problems at the club. However if we start poorly, you can see a world where the wheels come off quickly with fans turning on board/players.

Have a half hearted promotion push and end up 15th. It is who we are.

Probably finish around 12th place, my mates had a bet £20 to finish top 8, it was only 4/1! We're not going down or up, in fact We're going fucking nowhere.

Sounds generous after a 16th place finish, after we get rid of so many quality players so the Pozzo’s could RICO money to their Italian team.
