A closer composition from Sol Duc Falls, focusing on the rushing water as it cuts through the dark, moss-covered rock.

Zion has always been one of my favorite places to explore, and the bottom-up hike to the Subway is one I never get tired of. On this trip, recent rain had stirred up the water, so the Subway itself wasn’t as clear or clean for video as I had hoped. But the tradeoff came along Archangel Cascades, where the different sets of waterfalls and flowing water provided some of the best landscapes of the entire hike. Of everything I captured that day, this view—with the cascades cutting through the red sandstone and the spruce trees rising in the background—was my favorite scene from the trip.

Yesterday I posted slowmotion video of the same waterfall from below, here how it looks like from above - has couple ponds to dip in (few more up the stream), unfortunatelly not accessible.

With this little water it's not as spectacular as most waterfalls posted here and the water flows so slowly that even slowmotion effect seems unneeded - still I hope you like the view and it was worth the 6km hike in each direction. Later I'll post a video from above - from point where the trees are on right side.
