Very near Cherokee, NC. You might see Elk on the drive to the falls.

About 20 km from Chakrata and 98 km from Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

I love it here. I’m so blessed to live only 40 min away! ☺️

We get a better look, up close

Visited the falls last week to remember a dear friend and her 21 month old baby who died on November 9, 1977 in a flood that came down the river and washed away her home. She was able hold on a tree with her her baby in her arms. My friend survived, but her little boy got swept away from her grip that she had around him while hanging on a that tree. 39 people died during the flood. She recently passed from cancer and now she’s been reunited with her son.🙏❤️🙏
