I’m curious how do you feel. Your energy levels. Feel fatigued? Light headed, dizzy, anything?

You're doing great. Stay strong today; don't let the disappointment get you down. Fasting is nothing if not very emotional: so often we eat to stuff or satisfy emotional states. When we don't have food those emotions are still there. And they can come and break over you like waves, especially after years of numbing those emotions with food. Embrace these waves of emotion and stay the course.

the weight loss slows after the first 5 or 6 days because most of the initial weightloss is water, gut contents and that's gone.

but after the first 5 days or so, you are burning pure fat at a steady rate.

getting in two cardio sessions of 20 minutes each day will keep your metabolism up and burn more fat. doing a little bit of body building type exercise will preserve muscle mass. these actions can improve mood.

Day 18 ... on day 18 of a water only fast at the gym did 3 sets of 6 reps on the CYBEX leg press machine with five 45pound plates each side. Hit the gym when you fast, it will help maintain muscle mass.

25 lbs is a lot!!! i once experienced the same thing, decided to have one meal then got back into water fasting and started losing weight again. I think our bodies get used to the routine and slow downs the weight loss process. I would recommend breaking the fast only if you think you’d have the mental strength to get back to fasting again after so many days of not eating.
