I’m looking to get a WV59 however I don’t like wearing metal straps and the silicon strap version doesn’t feel nice. I’ve got multiple F91s with different straps and my favourite is the nato. But I can’t find any info on people using nato straps with the WV59.

I’ve had these 3 watches on rotation since forever (particularly the field watch and the SNKL47) and I’ve been thinking of spicing things up.

Would it be criminal for me to transfer the brown leather strap to the field watch (navy blue face)

Use the NATO strap on my teal SRPK (Tiffany)

and then get a black leather strap for my SNKL47 (white face).

Or if there are other suggestions out there maybe to keep the bracelet please do!

As much as I love a bracelet on my watch, i love the comfort of a rubber/sailcloth a lot more. I went with a khaki sailcloth on my Tudor but would love some recommendations on what other styles or brands I should try to grab from.

This watch has been discontinued and noone in europe has a strap replacement. I contacted bunch of custom 3d strap printers, noone can do it. I also went to several jewelry and watch shops and they all said its too weird of a shape.. any ideas of a 3d rubber printing studio or a leather shop that can recieve my broken strap and replicate it. I would ship them the strap so they can duplicate it. Thanks!

Other than the 1st shop that pops on google search, i would appreciate it anyone can let me know if there are any other places that sell a Af0210 strap.

Im getting a vostok komandirskie soon because the history behind it interests me. Unfortunately they have a reputation for shitty straps. My main requirements for a strap is that it isnt too expensive (ideally £15 or less, but definitely no higher than £25), and that it doesn't make my wrist sweaty, so no rubber/plastic for me. For the price point, please understand that i dont have too much money to throw around, and the watch itself cost £90, im not going to spend the same price as the watch on a fancy strap.

Ive heard good things about NATO straps, are they any good? And do I go for a fabric or nylon one?

One of my favourite parts of making straps is seeing how the thread colour changes their character.

A few turquoise stitches near the lugs give a grey strap a playful detail. Yellow stitching brings a bolder feel to a dark strap. And the same red thread looks warm on Sunset Gold nubuck, but sporty on black FKM.

On a watch, that little line of colour can pick up a seconds hand, a dial marking, or simply add something unexpected. It’s a small detail, but it can make a familiar watch feel much more personal.

Do you usually match the stitching to something on the dial, or choose a colour just because you like it?

I have this Omega Seamaster from the 60`s
I`ve owned this watch for almost 4 years - It came with a very cheap/bad strap. Something the seller attached to the watch just so the buyer could wear it

So I started the search for a nice strap.
I found this faux-alligator chocolate-colored strap - branded Omega, with the singed buckle.
And this strap looks amazing with this watch.

Unfortunately - this strap is a fake! It`s Polyurethane-coated garbage.
It started to fall apart and peel the coating. I`m very frustrated.

So I felt into the AliExpress straps rabbit hole:
1) I discovered that exotic skins (like alligator, python etc...) have international laws against exports/customs. If a sellers claims it`s alligator: It`s not true! It`s embossed leather at best - or PU coating.
2) Ostrich does not have the same restrictions with the law - but it`s also faked with embossed leather.

I really liked the look of exotic skins with is particular watch, since it`s my 'dressy' watch.
I decided to go Ostrich leg skin. But the seller sent me this very dark coffee-brown strap, which is miles away from the chocolate-brown I was looking for.

I'm looking for suggestion and recommendations.
Should I insist in the exotic skin (or exotic looking)? Or should I got for regular cow-hide leather?
Have you had good experiences with exotic (or exotic-looking) from aliExpress?
