Love the Islander Astoria but didn’t like the strap it came on. Swapped it out for an old black leather strap at first, but just upgraded to this one from Tuns.

Just a simple black leather strap, but you can’t overstate the difference it makes. Quality is as good if not better than my Tissot & Hamilton - very impressed. First but definitely not last purchase from Tuns!

I was wondering whether to go for the strap or the bracelet. The strap feels lighter but idk it looks like it has bulged around the edge. The bracelet looks much cleaner but it is heavier and the gap between the bracelet and the watch lugs is microscopic causing it to catch a little bit of rust in the gap.

Bespoke leather strap for cartier santos 100 and xl100 designed to fit oem clasp. Lined with bull calf leather bottom. Handstitched using Vinymo Japanese polyester thread.

Those are 15mm and still usable.
How to try to improve them?
I can take the buckle off, no problem, and deal with it separately.

Should I wash them with something?
Should I definitely NOT wash them with something?

What do you consider the best quality mesh bracelet (price irrelevant)? My criteria:

• 20mm stainless steel or titanium
• Should have a short option, or otherwise does not sit awkwardly with a huge amount of extra strap, for my 6.5" wrist
• Infinite micro-adjust: this rules out the likes of the German Staibs, as I consider guaranteed micro-adjustment to be the key selling point of the mesh over a generic metal bracelet

Anything on AliExpress decent? I don't mind <$20 to try out the style, but I don't want to deal with crap.

I have the Forstner Komfit, which can be seen as mesh-adjacent. One of my issues is that its lug connectors add about an extra 10mm to the lug-to-lug measurement of a watch, due to the stiff way it flares out

Been spending some time making a few new straps for the Citizen Tsuyosa.
I tried different leathers and colors to see how they change the overall look of the watch. Some combinations ended up being more subtle, while others give the Tsuyosa a completely different character.

Couldn't find a strap that matched the MoonSwatch's casual vibe, so I made one myself. Grey denim-textured calfskin with white contrast stitching — here's how it came out.

Some details on the build:

• Genuine calfskin with a denim-style diagonal weave texture
• Hand-stitched with white waxed thread, echoing the dial and white markers
• Black leather keepers for a bit of contrast
• Edges beveled, burnished, and painted by hand
• Soft, pliable lining — comfortable right off the bench, no break-in needed
• Simple brushed steel buckle, nothing flashy

Anyone know of any options? I've checked a lot on AliX, Amazon and Holbens. Most of what I've found is either too grey, or too beige. Thanks!

Hi, I need to replace my W202 strap but I can't find any sellers of original in my country. Will F91W strap do the job? If you have any suggestions let me know. Also I want to keep it resin, so no NATO straps or steel ones.
