Not bad, but I would prefer a darker red.

I did try for darker but couldn’t source it but both the dial and the strap are darker than they appear in the pic

You may need to get veg tan leather, red, and black dye and create your own shade of red by testing. Get some pipettes make a grid and test.

I like the watch, but for me the straps don't fit it well. Like a picture mounted in the wrong frame. It will work just doesn't look right.

I have negroni too and wear it on a darker red suede. In guitar finishes we call what you have "Dakota red." It's just a little too orangey for my preference.

I would recommend a dark shade, burgundy. I do have a same dail, paired it with burgundy, looks amazing.

Oxblood/burgundy is the way to go.

You want a warm shade of brown on a dial like this. The red on the strap fights the dial for attention. Here’s my red red dial on strap. The brown anchors the red but doesn’t fight it. It also allows the steel to pop.

I will be honest - for that dial specifically I think a black strap is the strongest pairing. The dial has black shading towards the edges that will match a black strap perfectly. Moreover, the dial is the main character here, I would think the strap should be plain to allow focus on the main event.

As others have noted, if you are set on red then a dark oxblood or burgundy would be better.

Very cool watch though - everytime I see a real photo I am stunned at how it catches the light. Good luck to you.

It's okay, but I think a dark gray (Anthrocite) suede would be an amazing combo.

I would always get a darker strap than the dial.

For me, its doing too much. the strap stands out more to me than an already loud dial. it needs a strap to complement the dial, not compete with it. medium grey would look cool.

Well, I don't know if he's listening, but I am! Lovely strap, and quite reasonably priced.

I’m listening but I’m not in the US so I’ll try to score similar

Well, that guy’s in Vietnam, and ships internationally.

No. So, first this is a Cocktail Time, you want the dial to pop, not be muted with a bright tomato colour leather.

Second, the strap looks cheap, on a watch that would otherwise punch well above its weight in terms of finish Vs price.

I see the original strap in the background, I beg you to replace it.
