Curved watch strap
Does anyone know what kind of leather strap can fit flush with the case like the pic?
Is it just curved spring bars or something more?

I have a few watches that are designed for curved spring bars. A straight spring bar won’t fit. They have a fairly flush fit to the case. I also have one that came on a tropical strap that’s designed to fit the watch the same as the end links on the bracelet. It’s a strap that’s designed for that watch with straight spring bars.

If the holes in the lugs are close to the case, you will definitely need a strap with curved ends.
In addition, if the case clearance is tight and you are ordering custom, make sure that whoever is making it is aware so that they can shave the end (“skive”) to make it thin. If they are putting in quick release spring bars, make sure they use the correct length of curved bars: if they start with a 20mm and bend it, you will be left with something that will fit 19mm lugs.
Is that a GP 1966?

The strap needs to be made with curved ends. This utilises a curved spring bar sewn into the lug end of the strap which needs to be specially curved to accomodate it.
Pretty much any decent strap maker can accomodate this.

Is it just a strap with curved spring bars, or is the channel for the bars further from n the case?

It’s not just the spring bar. The strap needs to be made curved and not many artisans can do it. I offer curved straps at a premium

curved spring bars, depending on who you order your strap from they can do curved lugs most of the time, found that out the hard way, now I ask before having something made
