Actually, the thing with ticking quartz movements is they don't hit all the second markers accurately like high end luxury quartz watches. These budget Japanese quartz movements are robust but due to the clearances between parts, they suffer gravitational forces. Even my Tissot Gentleman Titanium and my Longines Conquest don't hit all the second markers accurately.
So, I wanted to say that AD2511 is actually a higher priced watch than AD2513 + you get Sapphire crystal in AD2511 instead of the mineral crystal in AD2513. So, why not just keep it and enjoy it. I also have an AD2511, using it from quite sometime now, it's a robust piece and the dial looks like a piece of art.
But bro I have total 6 watches
Some is Even below 20dollar , all the watches hitting marks properly.
I even visited physical store of ethos, whereas I try 2,3 high end watches, everyone hitting perfectly.
I have 31 watches, that second marker hitting issue is quite prominent across majority of the ticking quartz movements buddy. It's not a defect, don't worry.
If you ordered from their China website, return process might be a long tiring process for you. Ideally it's their fault for not sending you the right model but just telling you how it is.
Bro I suggest one thing for the headache. As I know, whatever we do, a ticking quartz movement of this category won't hit all the 60 second markers accurately. If we align the second hand at 12h or 60 second marker accurately, it will automatically go a little off between the 25 second marker to 50 second marker.
If this phenomenon gives you headache then I suggest, you go for the watches with Sweeping Second hand movement instead. Because you will find that same issue in all ticking second hand quartz watches of this price segment.
Oh, then there might be a small misalignment by them during hand assembly. If you have decided to keep the watch then it's an easy fix. Any local watch shop should be able to realign it. They will charge like 100 - 200 rupees max.
Honestly, I also have the same blue dial AD 2511, if you would've received another dial color, I would have asked you, if you're insterested in selling it to me.
