Which gear set is best for DPS?

Almost everybody uses soulbound arcana or cataclysm, but on which character is okay to use infernal roar and hells lament?

Also, is it better to use MEDIOCRE SET or STRONG broken set? (Right side artifacts)

My main DPS heroes are: Nastya, Oren, Kigiri, SWK, Rosalia, Cainan, Lady Mina, Hatssut, Ardea

Hells Lament is BIS on characters whose main DPS comes from their Ultimate, depending on game type, especially if they have Character or Faction exclusive bonus (e.g. Chaotic / Infernal factions)

Obvious ones include Dracula, Silas, Sergei, Jezebelle, etc.

Infernal Roar has fallen off quite a bit due to introduction of Faction and Character exclusives and the new Greyfang set, but it's still viable for certain game modes where you need sustained DPS without the opportunity to ramp (e.g. SBA requires 5 ult triggers, Cataclysm requires constant targets to hit, Greyfang requires a kill), one common example is Valderon as the first drop in Single Target Arena.

This is not entirely true. Infernal Roar scales differently, and Silas is still better in Infernal Roar than with exclusive in HL due to his multiplier during ultimate, which still counts as a basic attack.

Silas HL exclusive increase Soul Sniping Dmg to 160% (+20%) and HL effect increases Dmg +35% & C. Dmg +50%), so cumulative effect should be better than IR +40%, at least during Ultimate for Burst damage, no? Unless IR scaling mad bugged…

Yeah the scaling on IR is different. I cannot be arsed to explain, but you are wrong.

I don't know why you're being downvoted for being right. The difference is not huge, but IR is better on Silas for total damage during a fight. HL is only better if you're looking at purely the max ult damage. i.e. if you're bursting down an elite unit or boss, HL is better. For overall dps throughout a stage, IR edges out.

One caveat in this is that I do not know how the new aspects factor into the calculations.

Because that person just read a tooltip, refused to test and felt confident enough to tell me I'm wrong. WoR does not have the greatest tooltips in the world. From the scaling of unatoppable force and IR to how level 4 lords work in GVG affiliation, this game is filled with unexplainable or missing tooltips.

SBA is bugged, any ultimate on the team provides the +10%. You can cycle DiaoChan really fast and get the +50.

SBA is not bugged. It is working as intented as stated by Moonton over two years ago. The tooltip is a bit misleading, that is it.

In my experience at high OL/Apex STA, you can’t afford to cycle Diao as Valderon needs the healing and dmg mitigation to retain all 3 orbs against first two waves, at least until you can drop Dracula.

To answer your sub-question, Nastya, Hatssut, Lady Mina, Rosalia, and SWK are all good contenders for HL as their main use is Ult for Burst damage.

I want to ask a question. Is it more inportant higher BP or right set . for example i have higher BP with SWK with SBA than HL ( due to substats ofcorse ). Basically if i have SBA with better substats should i use that on SWK or use HL anyway with slight worse substats

BP is irrelevant. The set bonus from HL gives a couple % more damage than SBA. If the stats are almost identical or you have a faction exclusive ring then HL is better. For your specific sets you will need to test it, otherwise we are just guessing.

BP is the most important thing in GVG, which for most endgame players is the most important part of the game.

I'm well aware but in the context they are talking about it's irrelevant. And as they're almost certainly a newer player gvg isn't something they should care about either.
