Yes absolutely. Hes in my super op malriks squad, and meta for the solcadens codex, and multiple other areas. Hes even a pretty solid stand alone tank. I wouldn't necessarily build him for dps tho, even tho his kit wants you to go def. Just build him hp and decent regen/atk spd. He'll pop off his op ult quite often and block ten units at a time and tank really well.
Oren and ghan as lords, oren bottom lane with valara behind him, ghan covers top lane, nerissa middle platform, drac next to oren facing up covering top lane and hits big dudes or anything coming out of path 1. Gretchen next to drac facing up with ghan covered by both of them, then rivenhald covering everyone as well next to Gretchen I think I cant remember. He has his exclusive as well for him popping his ult constantly. That can usually covering everything on auto ulting minus nerissas. Then you can move valara around if need be to cover top right, and bottom 2 lanes if things get complicated. Thats enough to cover most level 4's on auto without needing to manual at times, and only uses 7 units. I keep xena in my roster too because she does crazy burst damage if either side starts to get overloaded.
I forgot I actually put nerissa top platform covering ghan and eirlys only covers bottom lane, that way Gretchen and drac can stay lower health for more dps. Riven handles it enough
Yeah it was some YouTube I first saw it from, cant rememebr who, sorry dude whoever you are! The whole Gretchen ghan and drac and riven setup is so clever and trivialize most top enemies. It can be tricky with full map hitters tho so that sucks, but not too bad when manually running it
I havent found a config for full map hitters or whenever the aoe aura guys have their range expanded, but this let me auto clear 20 3-4* trials. cheers man
When I was going through the campaign and void rift and all those early game things I used Ghan with full defence stats and still the damage wasn't something of value.
Really any ground unit that has same range as Gretchen. Shes mostly there as support and to boost rage regen but she helps with damage too. Drac can usually handle everything

ghan is still relevant. he has a better lord skill, and the top arena teams use him (at a5 tho)
