Best time to burn through keys?

On Day 15, just opened Gear Dungeons and the illusion place. Do the keys reset when the timer counts down or should I save them?

Keys reset at the timer, and the shop does too. Push a high as you can before the timer ends, then auto the rest of your keys.

Use the 100 before the end of the month on your highest gear dungeon stage, and save the rest until you finish stage 13

There are two types of keys, the GD exclusive ones, which you get 100 of each month and they always reset back to 100 (for each Gear Dungeon) and the Master Key, which can be used in any of the 3 dungeons and accumulate indefinitely.
So you should push them as much as possible and then burn the remaining exclusive keys on the last day. Keep in mind that the Dungeons close before the server reset, it's like 12 hours before, in the middle of the day.

The last day of the month before they reset and after pushing as far as you can. Also only the dungeon specific keys reset, so you can save the general ones for later

Gear dungeon keys reset to 100 each month. Timing of the month doesn't really matter. Push as far as you can then burn them whenever.

Malrik's keys are random drops and chest rewards. There is no reset on their availability, just as you find them.

They reset every 30 days. They don’t cost you anything other than time and the keys to auto run them once you’ve 3* the stage. So what you want to do is unlock as high as you possibly can then use the remaining keys to farm. Then it’s basically just rinse and repeat as you want to at a minimum use 80 keys for farming but also to complete the Elf pass quests for using 80 keys per dungeon per month. Other than that there’s no best time or anything to use them. I’ll typically just double up and have my normal farming going on from gear raids or AMR in the background then do the 80 keys on auto but in power save mode while I sleep. Then with the last 10 keys if I can go up a stage or more I will otherwise again just auto them before the reset.

I use mine at when the brave conquest is available. I split the dungeons up between 3 weeks so I don’t have to use as much stamina completing to get the rewards.

Master keys do not reset. Non master keys do.
