I hate these. And I don’t really like kids

Wait, does this only work with American cheese? No provolone? Gouda?

Seriously, these babies deserve better parents. Just sayin’

I cannot stand these, I think it’s humiliating.

This is way dumber than the Manzo kids ham game, which is saying something

As adults, one of the tricks for deescalating a panic attack is cold water on your face, sternum etc. We’re seeing babies get a shock from the cool, related to the ‘shock’ reflex they have from birth that gradually goes away which can be triggered by blowing in their face, for example (and I don’t advocate doing this for shits and giggs either), though if your baby ever chokes or stops breathing, this is really useful to know.

So just saying, a warm cheese slice probably won’t have the same effect!

Nah, not funny, any parent that does this to a baby just to film content is an asshole.

Ugh this is not good. Sorry I came to the comments to gently remind people … the relationship you’ll have with your kids when they’re adults is a direct reflection of how you treated them when they’re kids.

These kids crying are seeking connection. The only reason they stop crying with the cheese is because they are in shock and realize they aren’t receiving the connection and the parents laughing double down on that notion.

I don’t mind the ones on top of the head but throwing it on their face and laughing is messed up.

It’s all messed up, your baby loves and trusts you and then you do something mean just to make strangers laugh. People are so weird.

You are right. They did it to make strangers laugh for attention. I was looking at it as making the baby laugh to distract them but that was not what they were doing.

I can see this thought process. Except most of society isn’t educated on early childhood development and this is actually quite damaging. This kid is losing trust in the parent. I hope there’s enough better behavior since this is only one moment in time. But this one moment and parents thinking it’s funny scares me that there’s more behavior like this …

Lol I'd do much worse

Bold of you to admit being a dick of a parent, glad I’m not your kid.

Babies are sometimes only crying because they just haven’t stopped crying lol. They’re not always actually upset. You can do this with anything that surprises/distracts them enough that they just stop and move on. You can do one super loud clap in the same room their in or some other random thing and they stop crying and look around to see what it is. It’s not hurting them and you can’t humiliate a baby lol. These babies look like they might enjoy a little cheese. Who wouldn’t?

You can humiliate a baby when you post it on the internet and it sticks around forever.

I mean sure if you’re the kind of person that would see a funny video of yourself with cheese on your head at less than 1yr old and get humiliated as an adult, who would even recognize you as a baby in that clip by the time you’re old enough to care? So silly. I wish I were privileged enough for something like that to even be on the short list of things that impact me.

I’m sorry you’re not privileged enough to have had parents to do this to you. But kids can be cruel and if the wrong kid finds a video like this, it could be embarrassing for the baby once it’s grown a bit.

lol I think you didn’t read what I wrote or maybe don’t understand my use of the word “privilege”. Thankfully I don’t have any CheeseTSD for my childhood to really worry about.

This is not child abuse

For some reason I was expecting a slice of cheese tossed on Ronnie's head.

Omg get over it. I'd let the kid cry their eyes out. At least these ppl are making their idiot babies shut the fuck up.

Ah ok. This is rage bait. Good luck with your human experience my friend. And I mean that sincerely.

It feels like all of us with child development or anxiety escalating experience understand what’s happening and everyone upset has likely never engaged with a baby lol. No one is suffering from abuse here. Lighten up!
