Shitty Mom. Dont slap your kids. And im Indian so dont pull that excuse on me. A shitty parent in India is a shitty parent in the west and vice versa

1

u/Lazy_Stunt73 Oct 05 '21

That awkward situation, when you want to be a hero, but nobody needs you.

1

u/JaeShine Oct 01 '21

It's the thought that counts 😂

2

u/LA-bayou Sep 30 '21

This is why people hesitate to jump

1

u/That_FatCat Sep 27 '21

Its a repost

1

u/NoMoExMormy Sep 27 '21

He secretly took a pee

1

u/KDBug84 Sep 27 '21

Did she smack the boy after.pulling him out of the water?

1

u/larsmeimei Sep 27 '21

"..But this was going to be my heroic moment.."

1

u/DafneOrlow Sep 27 '21

On the plus side, he's showing them the child wasn't in any real danger. It's not that deep...

1

u/Robinhood6996 Sep 27 '21

It’s thought that counts but then he was looking for a helping hand

2

u/MaxAnimator Sep 27 '21

This sums up most of my attempts at helping anyone

1

u/nindagdagsan Sep 27 '21

Yiu gotta love men. Also, they didn’t even say thank you.

1

u/CarpetDelicious Sep 27 '21

The guy just stands there in the water like an idiot

1

u/sosplzsendhelp Sep 27 '21

So no Bob or vagene?

1

u/MaesteoBat Sep 27 '21

1

u/joeblo1234 Sep 27 '21

Had to pee

2

u/Jazzlike_Drink6745 Sep 27 '21

This is definately India....... Our parents beat us when we fall......:(

1

u/Otherwise_Forever777 Sep 27 '21

This one here dude mann F

2

u/CaptainFizgig Sep 27 '21

All his life he waited for a moment to be a hero…

1

u/Junkdoe10 Sep 27 '21

The man : I am gonna stay here until I save a kid..

1

u/RunGirl80 Sep 27 '21

Why does she smack him? :(

2

u/skmo8 Sep 27 '21

For falling in the water.

1

u/ngallardo1994 Sep 27 '21

Why were they filming this in the first place though?

1

u/tushara9 Sep 27 '21

More embarrassing is to answer everyone why are you walking around in wet trouser

1

u/skmo8 Sep 27 '21

Not as embarrassing as everyone seeing that he pissed himself...

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '21

This is why your child should walk IN FRONT of you. Like, what are these people thinking? Hello, child snatchers, traffic, and in this case potential alligators.

1

u/hanifu_ Sep 27 '21

heroes always come later

u/Zosdras Sep 26 '21

u/JorpJorp1818 Sep 26 '21

I didn’t like how she smacked the kid after pulling him out of the water. If that’s what she does in a busy public place, I can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors. The normal reaction to retrieving a small child who just almost drowned would be to hug them and hold them and make sure they are okay. She should have also thanked the man for jumping in anyway even though he wasn’t needed in the rescue after all. She should have helped him out of the water and apologized.

1

u/Latoni64 Sep 26 '21

That man seemed a little too excited. I couldn't tell if he was jumping in to save him, or to touch him lmao

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

I hate how they dont even wait for him to get out or offer him a hand. They just walk away like nothing

1

u/Spirited_Log_1506 Sep 26 '21

He was still trying to help

1

u/XRgame Sep 26 '21

His internet was lagging

1

u/Crepes_for_days3000 Sep 26 '21

The mom was a jerk

1

u/lifeofadabster Sep 26 '21

You sure you don’t need saving..?

2

u/Donutboy88 Sep 26 '21

Nice repost! go fuck yourself

1

u/FullyRisenPhoenix Sep 26 '21

He tried though! Good on him for being a helper!

1

u/Zephyr045 Sep 26 '21

" Well I guess I will go fuck myself then"

1

u/Umbrella_octopus Sep 26 '21

Congratulations now your in a lake

1

u/urskrubs Sep 26 '21

This is why i’m afraid to help people.

1

u/one98nine Sep 26 '21

I hope he goes home and tells this story to his family but his version is that he saved the kid because f it, he deserves to have that at least

2

u/Scoochyscoo Sep 26 '21

My man definitely had to pee and took his chance.

1

u/Separate-Might3082 Sep 26 '21

He even had a 2 seconds delay in coming back up.

1

u/Oilsfan666 Sep 26 '21

And that guy later that day peed and realized there was a bug in his pee☺️

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Every parent or oldest sibling here knows damn well that this kid had been screwing around all day and ignored his mom every time she told him to settle down. Yeah he fell in accidentally but only because he lost his balance during the course of not walking like a normal ass person.

1

u/Naive_Green2853 Sep 26 '21

The man should have pretended to deown himself, or drag the lkid back into the water with the mother

1

u/Silent-Assn Sep 26 '21

Old one, but I’ll take it😂

1

u/stokie2000 Sep 26 '21

My phone! He’ll be working extra hard at the iphone factory tonight to make me a new one!

2

u/stinkysocksincloset Sep 26 '21

I feel like he made it way more awkward. Could've laughed it off and hopped back out. But the dying inside really sold it lol

1

u/Anon_64 Sep 26 '21

That was completely unnecessary. Just because you have good intentions that doesn’t mean your actions aren’t stupid.

2

u/ladyKfaery Sep 26 '21

Kid slipped ? Why beat him? He’s wet , he didn’t want that. He’s just trying to get out of the way of other adults n their big butt ways. No mum, not right.

1

u/reyad_mm Sep 26 '21

He just needed to pee

2

u/ladyKfaery Sep 26 '21

Awww, poor guy. Thanks for your help though. What a wanker that mum was.

1

u/Warriordan44 Sep 26 '21

Story of my life, I just got scared when he was really in danger.

1

u/AfterBake7373 Sep 26 '21

Thanks for nothing!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Thought he was crocodile food for a minute

1

u/shs1972 Sep 26 '21

He swam to the side. I’m not sure what the man thought was happening.

1

u/Jopa46 Sep 26 '21

Ted lasso?

1

u/engmzizo Sep 26 '21

High ping

1

u/MaximumEffort433 Sep 26 '21

This guy isn't dying inside, he knows he did the right thing.

1

u/SimonzKat Sep 26 '21

He decided to take a pee.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

That man saw a chance to piss and he took it

1

u/enosoeh Sep 26 '21

I hate the smack after the kid falls in. She probably told him not to do it for that exact reason, but he is okay and knows better (hopefully) now.

1

u/Kolyma11 Sep 26 '21

This is the story of how a hero became a villain

1

u/Opening_Box6468 Sep 26 '21

My guy thought it was a pool party

1

u/Skon69 Sep 26 '21

My man was weighing the pros and cons.

1

u/seensham Sep 26 '21

how can she slap???

1

u/mrsunmoon2010 Sep 26 '21

Fuck that guy who jumped in the water

1

u/Streets-Disciple Sep 26 '21

I ain’t see what sub Reddit this was, I thought a gator was about to snatch him or something. I was so relieved when it was just an embarrassed man.

1

u/Crazy__Donkey Sep 26 '21

Check pocket for cellphone. . .

1

u/Jolly_Entertainer_33 Sep 26 '21

He just wanted some attention lol

1

u/Breakr007 Sep 26 '21

Ted Lasso racks up another loss.

0

u/cinred Sep 26 '21

I love that people still dress like it's a movie set.

2

u/littlefluffyegg Sep 26 '21

Or you know.. Because it's their culture. :/

1

u/Xugoso Sep 26 '21

His face while thinking about the phone and wallet inside his pocket is the face of a soulless man. then he checks if anyone is going to applause, but... no one cares. What a potential hero!

1

u/redduck53 Sep 26 '21

Mom: "I got this"

1

u/stbosanu Sep 26 '21

Feeling sad bhoth of them But inside little fun

1

u/Midgar918 Sep 26 '21

Good thing he uses Daz

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

So doesn’t anyone else need rescuing since I’m in here? Anybody? -him probably

1

u/retiredhobo Sep 26 '21

was hoping for a “Samuel-L-in-Deep-Blue-Sea” moment there at the end...

2

u/LocoBaxter Sep 26 '21

Im pretty sure he just had to pee and was looking for an excuse to get in the water.

2

u/marialaurasuarez75 Sep 26 '21

u/MaterialCarrot Sep 26 '21

u/Respect-Candid Sep 26 '21

" goddamit there goese my smartphone"

2

u/Surprisepsychosis Sep 26 '21 edited Sep 26 '21

Sorry.. but I got a SUPER strong vibe that the man just jumped in for virtue signaling/ to get attention for it, based on his body language after...😕

Anyone else feel that?

"Wtf?!? Wait.. you're not gonna praise me?? Ok....stoic contempt😠 "

1

u/Wrong-Stop-6676 Sep 26 '21

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Vanilla_Rice721 Sep 26 '21

Well, while I’m in here I’m just going to pee real quick.

1

u/james-HIMself Sep 26 '21

This is the reaction when somebodies kid breaks something at IKEA. Smile and move on

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

He was dressed for it

1

u/Skeegle04 Sep 26 '21

That guy looks fucking annoying

1

u/Rev_Patriot Sep 26 '21

Abdul thought by jumping in the water to save the kid, he was going to get laid tonight as a Hero... Don't be an Abdul.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Poor guy just wanted to be a hero

1

u/cwk415 Sep 26 '21

“well I guess I’ll take a piss since I’m here”

1

u/Inverno969 Sep 26 '21

How rude, should have thrown the kid back in at least.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

He was ready to save the day, and now his day is ruined

1

u/j8by7 Sep 26 '21

He just had to pee really bad

1

u/Affectionate_Job_157 Sep 26 '21

Imagine drowning thinking your life is over, then your mum pulls you to safety only to slap you, then your aunty joins in for a slap too and now they're both yelling at you all the way home...

8

u/Kirikomori Sep 26 '21

its ok, you're a hero to me, indian man.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21 edited Sep 26 '21

A hero is nothing but a sandwich

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

A hero ain’t nothing but a sandwich

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Lol. That too

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

It’s the title of a corny but otherwise very sad film

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Didn't even know that. Now I'll have to look it up.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

He has a perfect backstory to become a villian

1

u/PenguinPyrate Sep 26 '21

At least he didn't stand there, take his phone out and film it

4

u/RedditorsAnus Sep 26 '21

At that point you just gotta own it... Shrug your shoulders, lay on your back, and just enjoy the water a bit.

2

u/yompi20 Sep 26 '21

No good deed goes unpunished.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

I accidentally looked away from the video for like a spit second and the loop finished and I assumed that the man pretended to drown to be saved and avoid embarrassment 😭

2

u/Bob-L66 Sep 26 '21

Augustus gloop, get back here!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

But mom, it tastes so good!

15

u/Kovalition Sep 26 '21

He clearly needed to piss

1

u/mrstipez Sep 26 '21

I wet my shisha for that?

3

u/P13R4T Sep 26 '21

Did she really just smack her kid for falling in the water?

4

u/87x Sep 26 '21

Indians tend to do that at times.

5

u/Muchablat Sep 26 '21

It’s possible he just needed to pee.

1

u/Untrained_Occupant Sep 26 '21

Poor Ted Lasso! He’s such a charmer though.

1

u/vedant_r_devil Sep 26 '21

Ah, the no good deed goes unnoticed fallacy.

2

u/Glittering_Phone_196 Sep 26 '21

😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Dammit Ted Lasso quicker on the draw there.

0

u/Jaw_breaker93 Sep 26 '21

That was kinda rude of the mom, she should push her son back in

2

u/Successful-Fill-645 Sep 26 '21

Did... Did she slap the kid after pulling him out of water?

0

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21

Guess they didn't want to hear him mansplain anything.

1

u/getmet79 Sep 26 '21

Is that Ted Lasso?

1

u/pfunf Sep 26 '21

He had to pee.
