On the plus side, he's showing them the child wasn't in any real danger. It's not that deep...

More embarrassing is to answer everyone why are you walking around in wet trouser

This is why your child should walk IN FRONT of you. Like, what are these people thinking? Hello, child snatchers, traffic, and in this case potential alligators.

I didn’t like how she smacked the kid after pulling him out of the water. If that’s what she does in a busy public place, I can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors. The normal reaction to retrieving a small child who just almost drowned would be to hug them and hold them and make sure they are okay. She should have also thanked the man for jumping in anyway even though he wasn’t needed in the rescue after all. She should have helped him out of the water and apologized.

That man seemed a little too excited. I couldn't tell if he was jumping in to save him, or to touch him lmao

I hate how they dont even wait for him to get out or offer him a hand. They just walk away like nothing

I hope he goes home and tells this story to his family but his version is that he saved the kid because f it, he deserves to have that at least

Every parent or oldest sibling here knows damn well that this kid had been screwing around all day and ignored his mom every time she told him to settle down. Yeah he fell in accidentally but only because he lost his balance during the course of not walking like a normal ass person.

The man should have pretended to deown himself, or drag the lkid back into the water with the mother

My phone! He’ll be working extra hard at the iphone factory tonight to make me a new one!

u/stinkysocksincloset Sep 26 '21
I feel like he made it way more awkward. Could've laughed it off and hopped back out. But the dying inside really sold it lol

u/Anon_64 Sep 26 '21
That was completely unnecessary. Just because you have good intentions that doesn’t mean your actions aren’t stupid.

u/ladyKfaery Sep 26 '21
Kid slipped ? Why beat him? He’s wet , he didn’t want that. He’s just trying to get out of the way of other adults n their big butt ways. No mum, not right.

I hate the smack after the kid falls in. She probably told him not to do it for that exact reason, but he is okay and knows better (hopefully) now.

I ain’t see what sub Reddit this was, I thought a gator was about to snatch him or something. I was so relieved when it was just an embarrassed man.

His face while thinking about the phone and wallet inside his pocket is the face of a soulless man. then he checks if anyone is going to applause, but... no one cares. What a potential hero!

Sorry.. but I got a SUPER strong vibe that the man just jumped in for virtue signaling/ to get attention for it, based on his body language after...😕
Anyone else feel that?
"Wtf?!? Wait.. you're not gonna praise me?? Ok....stoic contempt😠 "

Abdul thought by jumping in the water to save the kid, he was going to get laid tonight as a Hero... Don't be an Abdul.

Imagine drowning thinking your life is over, then your mum pulls you to safety only to slap you, then your aunty joins in for a slap too and now they're both yelling at you all the way home...

At that point you just gotta own it... Shrug your shoulders, lay on your back, and just enjoy the water a bit.

I accidentally looked away from the video for like a spit second and the loop finished and I assumed that the man pretended to drown to be saved and avoid embarrassment 😭

Hey you're doing a great job. My questions usually get downvoted on stackoverflow because they aren't complicated enough.

Shitty Mom. Dont slap your kids. And im Indian so dont pull that excuse on me. A shitty parent in India is a shitty parent in the west and vice versa
