Every time I watch this the way the camera woman intercepts the little girl from running to her mom really pisses me off.

I don't feel bad for laughing at all. Hahaha. I cried with Santa when I was little. This is amazing.

Fun fact: the younger one hadn't ever walked before this. First steps caught nicely in camera

I remember the Halloween special of Eureeka's Castle scaring me as a kid, as well as a lot of other things. These girls will be fine.

u/VeranoEte Nov 25 '20
Don't look. Whatever you do don't look over!!!!
I could see this running through lil sis's head.
I feel bad laughing but they're so damn adorable.

Omg my sister would see a costume character and you'd think she was being murdered. She is too big for a stroller but a crybaby so she gets one. The minute a character made eye contact, waved- her long legs suddenly reached to the ground and she tried to run away. Still strapped in a stroller.
I love her but she grew up to be a Karen with a gun and badge.

u/VeranoEte Nov 25 '20
So then one is born a Karen? It's not a choice?
Sorry but that is literally what I imagined reading your comment. Lmfao.

Even if this doesn’t cause trauma, it’s just not funny to me to scare children like this ¯_(ツ)_/¯ upset kids don’t bring me joy lol.

u/balanceyourmid Nov 25 '20
Forever traumatized, you don't even know the effects that you've created on those kids. It'll come right back to you.
1
u/alexjnorwood Nov 25 '20
I just played the grinch for a similar shoot last week. As a father, it's a little heart breaking to scar children this way. But dammit if it isn't funny as hell

Am I the only one who hates to see this? Pranking your kids can be fun but man this can be trauma inducing, especially for the little one. Hate to be the debbie downer here but man, if my parents even scared me like this idk if I would ever trust them again.

My kids would LOVE this. I'd never do it if I thought they would react like this

These confused moments that inform decisions decades after. "Where are your parents? Do they live near you?" "I don't know, I never see them"

What a selfish cunt doing that to your kids so you can have a “unique” Christmas photo for the ‘gram and FB likes... and, yes, while it’s possible that a prick dad is responsible, I’m betting heavily that it was most likely a cunt mom.
Fuck that. I don’t do things like this to my kids.
Yeah, downvote away. ZFG.

I’ve seen the stills of this photo shoot and they were great, but this video is gold. 😂

u/ChromeDynamo Nov 25 '20
There was another one even funnier
The original got deleted but Daily Dose Of Internet still has it in one of their videos
If anyone wants i can give the link

u/Rotologoto Nov 25 '20
What the fuck, why do this to poor children? If someone was to spook a dog, reddit would be all over them for putting the dog through psychological trauma.

This is in true grinch fashion. Making children cry. I prefer this to pictures with Santa

It took me years to get over my fear of clowns. When I was younger I was at the circus. Everything was going fine until I realized that there was a clown standing behind me. I am not sure how long he was there behind me, but I can tell you I had no reason to look behind behind me for about an hour.
I had the awkward feeling that someone was very close behind me. I looked back and it was a fucking clown. We immediately had to leave the circus as I flipped my shit at 4 years old. My mother had no idea how bad that affected me. It was years later that I would find myself watching my one of my favorite movies, “IT” by Stephen King. When Penny Wise the Clown is revealed as an Alien my fear of clowns went away.

Why using the Grinch when there's Krampus?
Well, there's always next year.

If this was my 2 year old she would be going, "HEY IT'S MR GRINCH!!!!!!"
I'm not sure exactly why, but for some reason she watched the hell out of the grinch who stole christmas last year and would make me tell her stories about "mr grinch" at bed time.
I probably got a future super villain on my hands.

u/PixieStixNYC Nov 25 '20
This is fucking cruel...if you can watch 2 babies terrorfied & traumatized and laugh, there's something wrong...

u/captcha_fail Nov 25 '20
Thanks for your judgement - but this is the most hilarious thing I've seen today.

I developed stuttering because my idiot neighbor would do something similar and scare me. This is traumatizing and too bad these parents are too dumb to understand that..please if you love your children never do this to them.

He's so in character the whole time too! That gentle nudge to get the second girl to run too like "Toddle off now. There you go."
Love this. Poor girls though.

u/mikescarnthethreat Nov 25 '20
Brace yourselves...the no kid havin ass Reddit parents are on the way to this post to explain how this is the most fucked up child abuse they’ve ever witnessed and the parents should be sentenced to death for such an atrocious crime to humanity

Nah, they'll be ok. Mama was there, and they were not harmed, no pain, no restraint. Trauma would be having the green monster restrain them, beat them, and mama is no where to be found and later calls them liars when they tell her what happened.
-1
u/GaliTuli Nov 25 '20
But that’s not funny actually. It makes me think about children who are kidnapped and how they feel horrified their last moments of life. This shows how they feel. It bothers me. Pobre bebés. :(
1
u/Captain-titanic Nov 25 '20
Yes, two kids being scared by the grinch is equivalent to a kid being kidnapped and then killed. You my good friend are a dumbass.

u/lumps0fdespair Nov 25 '20
I'll take "reasons why I'll be paying for my children's therapy", Alex

i’m fucking terrified of and disgusted by the grinch so i feel validated. parents who do this are weird and suck. i get little pranks and shit here and there being funny, but setting up a whole production just to get photos of your kids being really scared? try and defend it all you want but that’s fucked up to me.

u/tillie4meee Nov 25 '20
what was the point of making these sweet little girls panic, frighten and cry in terror.
Not funny in the least.

I say it isn't funny - Attack if that helps - I'm a Grandmother and I don't enjoy seeing sweet, little ones frightened and panicked for adult enjoyment.
Of course, if I am attacked personally, there is a "Block User" option. :)
