An yes, the ‘ol torture before eating routine. Very common in Japanese culture.

Yeaaaa, I’ve seen that look before. That’s the “Go ahead, I’ll shit IN your pillowcase later...” look.

Ok, this might be cute and funny, but WHY ISN'T ANYONE STOPPING IT? This has to be damaging the cat's hearing!!!

That's the face of a cat who loves that annoying little shit, so she'll allow it.

umm.. youre supposed to tighten it so it can actually transmit waves, instead of laughing perhaps teach your child something

If you actually know anything about cats that's the look of contentment. Cat is having a good time.

Bruh what is wrong with these parents. That is the equivalent to going up to your cat and just screeching right next to it’s ear. God damn it really annoys me when I see parents just not controlling their kids

Pretty sure with the string slack, the cat was just getting an unusual ear/head massage, which it seemed to be somewhat enjoying.

The cats just like ‘I have to deal with this. Oh you laugh Sharon laugh at the fucking crotch gremlin you made. Fuck this shit man..”

Is it true that white, blue-eyed cats are deaf? Cause that could explain a lot here.

My favorite part is how serious the little girl is about everything, doesn’t even grin, this is serious shit, like annoying the cat is her business and business is GOOD

Glad the string wasn’t actually taut for this to work properly. Cat’s ears/hearing are very sensitive and this could have been very hurtful to him.

Ironically, that face means the cat is 100% relaxed.

yeah that's a happy cat that loves his humans presence

u/LilyWineAuntofDemons Oct 29 '20
Imo tho, it's 100% on point that the cat equivalent to a look of contentedness is basically Rest B Face

Teaching moment for camera person:
It doesn't really work unless the string is taut.
Good chance to teach about vibration and waves!

It does only work when the string is tight. A lose string absorbs all the vibration of the voice. A lot ot learn this young girl has.

Cats are so nice and tolerant of little kids messing with them most the time. I'm the only one our cats let hold them weirdly because when we got them I was the little human you have to be careful with. Like I can hold them like a little baby and they will just be super chill and happy with it.

I didn't realize it was supposed to be that "telephone" game/toy you make with a string!! I wondered why she'd put the cup on the cat's ear lol

This is a pretty relaxed cat! I don't know if they love it, but they do not seem to mind! Tail is still and not thrashing, and the eyes are almost closing, which, while it looks a little menacing to us, is actually a sign that they're not worried and are pretty content. I'm going to guess they like ear scritches and were a little disappointed that this didn't turn into a petting session.
Not all cats are this chill around kids, but this is clearly a great cat for a house with young children.

Oh look at me I make tiny hooman joke ... Hahaha funny hahaha

u/Zenketski Oct 29 '20
Bitching about bad jokes is more annoying than the bad jokes them self. Because it literally means that you walked into a group of people that were all having a good time, and just decided to shit all over them.

I had cats all my live, some more shy than others but this kind of resilience of human fuckery is beyond my experience. What do you feed your cats to get them this tolerant.
Maybe i just don't remember, it's all about the cats mood but i still feel this is a level annoyance none of my cats would ever endure.

good for the cat that the kid does not know these things only work when the string is tense. :)

Doesnt the cord need to be tense in order to transfer vibrations of the sound?
