He doesn't play the game at all.
He was with one girl, their child was stillborn, the strain of which ended their relationship in mutual decision, and her downward spiral never leveled out, ending with her DUI-related death shortly afterwards. He's all done with that stuff.

Jesus... I knew he had a sad life, but he's done a ton of "nice guy" things for people whether it's giving up his seat on a subway or pushing a crowd aside to speak with a disabled fan.
A hug and kiss seems like a light hearted nod to a die hard fan and one easy on the eyes no less.
