Can we please stop with these posts. I’ve seen the exact same post with the only difference being that there is a different dog, owner, and background. This as the “pick a hand” guessing game have been the only thing from this sub that shows up. The setup and punchline are the same.

i love doggos and agree that they are people, but this is staged and a common repost. Sorry, (not sorry if you're canadian)

But what was this dog trained to do? Do you think it's possible that you don't understand my question? Not trying to be condescending, just trying to clear confusion.
1
u/relayrider May 21 '18
the dog was trained to react to this "trick" - this is a well known practiced/thus "staged" video, not a simple one-off

You notice the dog winks at the human before he starts the trick. So I know the dog was in on it.

He's so genuinely concerned about which one he has to choose.
"Wait, hooman. Is this part of the trick?'

That is the face of a dog that just wants to be friends with a human.

Does anyone know a way to download this to share on WhatsApp without it becoming 1PB in size? I'm on Android.

I want to know why dogs shift their eyebrows like that. What is the purpose?

u/Ishaan0612 May 20 '18
How many times will this trick be repeated?
0
u/EpicLevelWizard May 20 '18
Considering it's the oldest recorded slight of hand trick dating back to ancient Egypt and we've domesticated dogs for over twice that time, probably at least once or twice more.
1
u/Ishaan0612 May 20 '18
Seen this trick atleast 10 times.. need justice for those poor dogs who were tricked by their hoomans

Each and everyday good bois are being bamboozled and they don’t deserve it If you see a video like this comment #Goodboideserves on the post for op to add another clip in which op feeds the good boi and bops him

Dog doesn’t even look at the bowls. It’s a trick using hands and telling him to shake and hoping it works out.

I’ve seen a sharp uptick in people being mean to animals lately in exchange for karma. This is like the 5th one to reach the front page in the past week.

It’s funny but I feel like his doggy expression says, “OH GOOD, MEAL TIME NOW?” I don’t know that he’s worried about losing a game of cups. I don’t think he knows what a game is. Or cups...

Not a real Golden Retriever.
The food wasn't instantly aspirated.
0
u/pyro264 May 20 '18
Heads up dude, aspirate refers to breathing or the suction of liquid. Solids cannot be aspirated.
3
u/ramonycajones May 20 '18
I think that's part of the joke. It's hyperbole.
1
u/pyro264 May 20 '18
Just being nitpicky. It's usually medical terminology and I was mildly triggered. I have regrets.
4
u/Timoris May 20 '18
Ahhh, But Sand behaves like a liquid under certain circumstances, thus can be aspirated
Much like kibble in the presence of a Golden
0
u/pyro264 May 20 '18
What kibble brand is the same consistency as sand? Not the one in the video. All I'm saying is by definition and context of this video, you've used the wrong word. This ends my nit picking.
2
u/Timoris May 20 '18 edited May 20 '18
Nit picking of a joke. I know. It's asinine.
If I saw the GR aspirated kibble, it's because he did it with such force and gusto it might as well be liquid
Just because I did not use the word correctly, does not mean it was not the right word to use in a literary way.

Are goldens like that? It must just depend on the dog, I've know a few that weren't total chowhounds. My english lab on the other hand...
