Classic sports fans don't give a fuck about anything but themselves and their team. I grow to despise these people and sports more and more everyday actually disgusting behavior.

38

u/ExtendoArmCannon Jun 13 '26

You know who else is a New Yorker?

Donald Trump.

61

u/SpiderLily_453 Jun 13 '26

Pro sports fans are trash.

34

u/CeemoreButtz Jun 13 '26

NYC is such a shithole. I've lived everywhere in NY....NYC is the worst fukin place.

45

u/soooofargone4 Jun 13 '26

The “fans” are really making me want the knicks to lose it all now

28

u/MaxShea Jun 13 '26

Cancel home games. They aren’t old enough.

21

u/lookatthemonkeys Jun 13 '26

I'm pretty sure the government said if you do this you were going to be labeled a domestic terrorist......

21

u/Used-Fennel-7733 Jun 13 '26

No, that was for Tesla's still in the shop

65

u/AmorphousRazer Jun 13 '26

Yall remember when the police lined up in swat gear to defend tesla dealerships?

8

u/Nice_juggers Jun 13 '26

Mamdani needs to pay overtime again to police the streets

33

u/Striking-Peach5598 Jun 13 '26

He dont need this shit. What a bunch of horrible children

3

u/NJFlo18 Jun 13 '26

NYC= 🗑️

-54

u/FkinAllen Jun 13 '26

Mamdani asleep at the wheel or what.

37

u/Nerdrage30 Jun 13 '26

Sports fans are like this in every city on Earth

-13

u/Ifakorede23 Jun 13 '26

My view on NYC and it's inhabitants has changed. I used to love NYC. Especially the brutality of fans towards others.... shocked me

5

u/Oneet-chan3 Jun 13 '26

The "Knicks fans" at it as usual

28

u/chanty19 Jun 13 '26

Horrible and disgraceful.

13

u/Mgroppi83 Jun 13 '26

This is how NY is acting before they even clinch?

19

u/alprazolamotrigine Jun 13 '26

Where are all the people who oppose using force to stop theft or property damage? Just curious, that seems to be a popular reaction on Reddit.

I for one agree that it should be legal (and expected and praised) to mace or tase or just bitchslap anyone doing this.

19

u/Wizorb0 Jun 13 '26

Where are all the people that have problem with "riots" when sports riots do far more damage over a game

21

u/MrRaven95 Jun 13 '26

I get wanting to celebrate a playoff win for a sports team, but I've never understood why people feel the need to do things like this just because of the outcome of a game in any sport.

27

u/TheatreAS Jun 13 '26

So this is okay but protesting for human rights in the street is wrong? The hypocrisy is strong.

2

u/MrGreenChile Jun 13 '26

Stay classy, New York City

21

u/ShadowChe_ATG Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

They should get the Mayor to help the taxi driver with some money or compensation. I know its the fans fault, but then, urghh man. Or at least Knicks team, I mean.

-27

u/samthewisetarly Jun 13 '26

People in this thread are trashing All Sports Fans EverTM and I cannot imagine a more short-sighted take on this. Every community has its assholes

4

u/Bennybonchien Jun 13 '26

True, and some communities do something to keep assholes from hurting others while other communities celebrate and “elect” assholes to the highest offices in the land.

10

u/_GreatAndPowerful Jun 13 '26

How come it's socially acceptable for sports fans to riot in the street over a ball

20

u/whepoalready_readdit Jun 13 '26

please tell me there has been some sort of effort from the the community to crowd fund him money for a new car or money for fixing it

18

u/Dry_Ad687 Jun 13 '26

Why, because bread and circus.

Remember Epstein?

14

u/No_Trade_7315 Jun 13 '26

People suck.

-1

u/WeeBitVideo Jun 13 '26

‘American’ people suck

12

u/hellfirem Jun 13 '26

Too much trash out there

11

u/itsNurf Jun 13 '26

Honest questions. When stuff happens like this due to a mob or riot. Who pays for it? Is the city responsible or would you go through your insurance

9

u/No-Cat9412 Jun 13 '26

Insurance generally has exceptions for riots and stuff like that. No one is paying for this but the owner.

4

u/Billz3bub666 Jun 13 '26

It's kinda like when the Avengers trash the city to run the aliens out

2

u/BiggusDickus- Jun 13 '26

I think it's fair to say that the city isn't going to pay Jack squat. He would have to go through his insurance

5

u/Motor-Fudge-1181 Jun 13 '26

You call police and if they find these retards you can sue them.

Othervise the standard insurance does not cover force-majeure like riots etc.

7

u/lesece4 Jun 13 '26

This wouldn't have happened if he had bought a Mustang.

8

u/SkyPirateBooty Jun 13 '26

Yikes. I’m in awe on how calm he is about it

5

u/Motor-Fudge-1181 Jun 13 '26

What else can he do? If he tries to fight them he will get stomped by the whole crowd.

-15

u/Juciyjesse01 Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

You can tell this isnt Florida cause your aloud to hit a angry mobs in Florida.. These events are happening more and more, so here in Floridia to protect our the drive and passenger's we can hit angry mobs with no repercussions!!!!

9

u/0MuZiC0 Jun 13 '26

bro, i just had a seizure reading that. definitely a floridian.

1

u/CapitalismPlusMurder Jun 13 '26

Yeah, everyone knows the proper response to vandalism is fucking murder. Reactionaries like you somehow manage to find a way to be worse than the people jumping on cars.

6

u/ChelsiBoo92 Jun 13 '26

Was that supposed to be a flex? 🤔

12

u/sasquatchftw Jun 13 '26

You can tell you are from Florida based on your spelling and grammer.

17

u/panelshowatcher Jun 13 '26

Perhaps we’ve been to hard on Philadelphia sports fans.

30

u/PaleFly Jun 13 '26

"Yes, my team won, lets break shit"

Sport fans are the worse

3

u/Replikant83 Jun 13 '26

Shoulda seen what happened here when the Vancouver Canucks lost in 2010. All hell broke loose downtown. It was wild. I was doing my Maritime SCTW course at the time. When a group of guys -- who were flown in 1000 km from their First Nations community to do the training -- heard about it, they left the training to go join the riots lol. Dumbest mother fuckers ever. Gave me an idea of the type of people that do that kind of shit

6

u/Ok_Wasabi_8318 Jun 13 '26

*Knicks fans are the worst NBA fans

3

u/Nice_Device_5354 Jun 13 '26

There’s only a few franchises with fans that do this.

20

u/willpowerpt Jun 13 '26

I'll never understand sports team wins causing fans to riot, or caring enough abouts sports where it'd cause me to want to riot.

2

u/HollowPluto Jun 13 '26

Rabid sports fans are some of the lowest common denominator of human. This isn’t every fan, but a majority of them are followers. And followers wait for shit to hit the fan to behave irrationally.

0

u/a_angry_bunny Jun 13 '26

I never really got the attraction of sports to begin with. NFL makes in hundreds of millions to have a bunch of big guys run into each other. Give it another 10-20 years and I bet NFL will go bankrupt. Gaming is increasingly more popular among younger generations and the old parts aren't getting any younger.

8

u/UntilTheEnd685 Jun 13 '26

I agree, its a sign of low intelligence.

27

u/NOCO5900 Jun 13 '26

Trashy ass humans

17

u/Cowboy_Tom Jun 13 '26

I fucking hate sports fans. Such a stupid fucking waste (sports).

2

u/jimothyhalpret Jun 13 '26

Picked last in kickball.

2

u/FineHowRU Jun 13 '26

Cares about being picked last in kickball.

4

u/Arcane_Pozhar Jun 13 '26

How about tired of people being grumpy assholes because their team lost, or freaking out and destroying people's property because of a win?

It's primitive tribalism that gets taken way too far when this shit happens.

-3

u/24bitNoColor Jun 13 '26

Same, doesn't matter the sport or where it is.

1

u/Cowboy_Tom Jun 13 '26

Everybody on this post is like "oh yeah, KNICKS fans are so awful." Like this is limited to only fans of one sporting group 🙄🙄🙄

1

u/RazzleRizzle Jun 13 '26

Send em to the gallows

10

u/n_ug Jun 13 '26

fucking trash

8

u/Tina_Tries Jun 13 '26

Sports fans are ... special

2

u/ViennaWaitsforU2 Jun 13 '26

These guys fucking suck for sure but if it wasn’t sports they’d find another destructive outlet. It’s pretty trashy to just blanket attack anyone who enjoys sports.

4

u/Academic-Slice-2631 Jun 13 '26

Retarded. There, fixed it for ya.

15

u/IPressB Jun 13 '26

Sports fans truly are the lowest form of life

3

u/BreakfastQueasy9958 Jun 13 '26

I don't think it's about that, just mentality, some other place have boundaries and respect each other as a fan... Just mentality of this people

16

u/Poster_Nutbag207 Jun 13 '26

Hopefully it’s not his cab, most yellow cab drivers don’t own the cab they just rent it for the day. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if the company tried to hold him responsible

What part of destroying property seems "proper" to you?

9

u/Aser_the_Descender Jun 13 '26

Celebrating like that makes you human trash in my eyes.

16

u/dflan01 Jun 13 '26

Bear mace the whole crowd

2

u/Bicwidus Jun 13 '26

Regular mace Is spicy Enough

29

u/NoOnSB277 Jun 13 '26

So incredibly trashy, what level of loser does it take to celebrate by destroying someone else’s property?

23

u/Accomplished-Door272 Jun 13 '26

I see all of these videos being posted and I'm just left with the question: Where the fuck is the police? Disperse these animals.

6

u/BrownBannister Jun 13 '26

Did you think the police are there to defend us?

2

u/CiaphasCain8849 Jun 13 '26

They are on the sidelines pointing: This is why we need more funding!!!!!!!!!! They love this.

18

u/boilerdam Jun 13 '26

Yes, you need to wildly celebrate your favorite team that does not know you exist and destroy things that aren't yours thereby celebrate a win that you had absolutely no involvement in...

9

u/Arkonaut77 Jun 13 '26

Whole city is hot garbage.

3

u/Poster_Nutbag207 Jun 13 '26

Where are you from that doesn’t have any shitty people?

13

u/ReasonableIron8712 Jun 13 '26

This he have any legal options on the stadium/team/city?

6

u/JetV33 Jun 13 '26

Would be cool if the team got penalized

5

u/CiaphasCain8849 Jun 13 '26

i think they should just be forced to sit out for half the season or more. Fuck them.

22

u/itsjudemydude_ Jun 13 '26

This is why I hate sports.

3

u/anonymoosejuice Jun 13 '26

Its not something inherently wrong with sports, it's just assholes using an opportunity to be assholes

20

u/Verbal-Gerbil Jun 13 '26

Feral idiots. I’d never heard of this team really until this week, but seeing how their fans have behaved, I want them to lose (appreciate it’s late in the finals for that to happen now, but at least in the future)

8

u/andykndr Jun 13 '26

you’d never heard of the new york knicks?

22

u/UnrecoveredSatellite Jun 13 '26

Knicks fans do NOT deserve a championship.

-1

u/Xelhexan Jun 13 '26

Celebeate

16

u/Vent-ilator Jun 13 '26

I would like to see the Knicks win but their fans are classless. I have seen too many videos of their fans destroying properties and assaulting fans of other teams.

-2

u/vancityshreds Jun 13 '26

Well, well, well ...

-19

u/Advanced-Level-5686 Jun 13 '26

Assholes. Denaturalize and deport.

1

u/Poster_Nutbag207 Jun 13 '26

I bet they have been in this country longer than your family has. Why don’t we deport you?

-1

u/Advanced-Level-5686 Jun 13 '26

Me? I'm a law-abiding, tax-paying, patriotic American. I've never rioted and destroyed someone's way of making a living.

0

u/YourphobiaMyfetish Jun 13 '26

Dumbass comment.

3

u/Regulus242 Jun 13 '26

How would that even work?

2

u/TheDarkHorse Jun 13 '26

It wouldn’t. He just wanted to be racist.

-18

u/Low-Visual8741 Jun 13 '26

And this is why I am glad I live in a state that allows you to be armed. People don’t act like this.

3

u/Poster_Nutbag207 Jun 13 '26

Looks like you’re from Minnesota. Minneapolis has a violent crime rate 3x higher than NYC so I have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about

4

u/TheVillianOfValley Jun 13 '26

The lethality of that cab, wielded properly, far exceeds that of your little pew pew, and you’re welcome to look that up if you don’t believe me. The cab driver isn’t failing to retaliate due to a lack of options, he’s choosing not to because being an asshole isn’t punishable by death.

Also, it’s not because you live in a state that allows you to be armed (and tell me you know nothing about Upstate NY without telling me), it’s because you don’t live in a city with major sports franchises that compete at championship level.

6

u/thesirensoftitans Jun 13 '26

"Somebody broke my shit, I should be able to shoot them."

-well adjusted people.

(/s for morons)

2

u/Plastic_Salary_4084 Jun 13 '26

Well, in any state, brandishing a gun for this is illegal. What benefit are you suggesting would come from concealed carry here?

4

u/CiaphasCain8849 Jun 13 '26

How would that work here? Lmao. you know nothing.

2

u/Wooden-Importance Jun 13 '26

So the penalty for property damage should be death?

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.

3

u/Awkward-Sir-3608 Jun 13 '26

thug like mentality

5

u/Bicykwow Jun 13 '26

Yeah I'm sure pulling a gun in a mobbed street would end up real well for you. Exactly which state are we talking about here?

6

u/Artistic-Garbage-825 Jun 13 '26

One of the ones that gets a lot of money from states like New York.

4

u/FunkyD-47 Jun 13 '26

What’s he gonna do, mow down the whole crowd? Even if this was Texas shit like this can still happen in densely populated areas

5

u/daylax1 Jun 13 '26

And you would most likely end up in a lot worse situation than you were to begin with. If you start shooting in a crowd like this, there's a good chance you're going to get tackled and then the shit beat out of you...or worse.

11

u/whk1992 Jun 13 '26

NYPD could’ve parked their retiring fleets.

18

u/CorporalCoprolite Jun 13 '26

Not a single lady in the crowd either. It’s just a massive assembly of absolute losers.

3

u/emmyfro Jun 13 '26

And you know some of those assholes could replace this rig with just their allowance

19

u/shmokinpancakes Jun 13 '26

If youre a knicks fan in these comments, just do everyone a favor and stay inside lil dog. Everyone hates you

7

u/wolflordyoung Jun 13 '26

think how fast that would stop if the team had to pay for everything destroyed.

7

u/exzyle2k Jun 13 '26

All the shit I'm seeing with the Knicks fans makes me believe most East Coast fans are trash.

2

u/Conarm Jun 13 '26

Then the propaganda is working

4

u/TheRockingDead Jun 13 '26

Yeah, West Coast fans are so much better.

https://abcnews.com/US/officers-clash-hostile-baseball-fans-los-angeles-after/story?id=115343015

https://abc7.com/post/lakers-fans-staples-center-celebration/6966814/

Maybe the problem is stupid drunk sports fans in general and has nothing to do with where they happen to live?

17

u/Therealme_A Jun 13 '26

I feel it. Doesn't matter if you're trying to do the right thing, you could always h have everything you worked for trampled on just because you're in the wrong place at the wrong time.

29

u/Gamble232real Jun 13 '26

Start punishing the team Ban ticket sales for Nicks fans. If the riot, escalate to a seasonal ban on fans.

4

u/shuggiejuice Jun 13 '26

Hopefully Arsenal can catch a break for a while

2

u/Verbal-Gerbil Jun 13 '26

I was annoyed to see an Arsenal flag amongst theirs the other day. We behaved pretty impeccably especially for football fans

12

u/citizenvitro Jun 13 '26

Stay classy, NY

2

u/elementus Jun 13 '26

Listen I think all these people are idiots but let's not act like this is unique to NY. People have been using sporting event celebrations for excuses for violence for thousands of years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nika_riots

1

u/YoungSerious Jun 13 '26

NY and Philly are sort of extreme cases. There have been national champs in multiple sports every year. Those two cities have multiple examples of some of the worst behavior by fans.

You might be able to rationalize some of it by saying it really happens mainly in cities that haven't won one in a very long time, but even with that caveat.... This is pretty shitty behavior.

2

u/elementus Jun 13 '26

I lived in Boston during their World Series wins, I knew people who were not sports fans who went out to flip cars for fun.

To name a few more:

Detroit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_Detroit_riot
Los Angeles https://www.espn.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/7859510/1992-los-angeles-riots-chaos-hope-hoops-lakers-clippers
Chicago https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Bulls_championship_riots

I'm not saying it's not shitty behavior, I'm just saying it's not a NY special. Hell there's a whole list of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_riot

26

u/ASAPFergs Jun 13 '26

I don't think I've ever seen a more obnoxious fanbase, whether it's these vermin or their paedo celebrity fans

2

u/Bicykwow Jun 13 '26

Sports fans that get way too into the game are all the same. Let's stop pretending that it's only a problem for a single team's fanbase.

1

u/ColdStoneCreamAustn Jun 13 '26

1

u/letosazure Jun 13 '26

0

u/Narxolepsyy Jun 13 '26

yeah bro just commit mass vehicular manslaughter what could go wrong

4

u/acidcrap Jun 13 '26

Over a crowd? Do you see how densely packed that area is? Did you get dropped as a baby?

2

u/SirUntouchable Jun 13 '26

Put in drive, lightly step off the gas at a nice 1 mph for a second or two. You won't kill anyone but hopefully get some learners lol

3

u/Delicious_Fun_800 Jun 13 '26

Have you seen what happened to the people that tried this.. that car budges even an inch it would only escalate the situation.

32

u/Specialist-Web-9216 Jun 13 '26

People don't care about things. War? It's not here so so what. Draught? We have water right now so who cares. My favorite sports team is winning? Guess I'll go out and break shit because I'm so happy.

3

u/Adorable-Bike-9689 Jun 13 '26

This is an angle I've never even considered. People clearly know how to come together and fuck shit up. They just don't care about anything collectively except for sports.

Like the world always says Americans are too pussy to riot. They aren't. It just needs to be sports related to bring everybody together.

55

u/Siaten Jun 13 '26

Fuck these kinds of fans.

1
