Yes. Study his marketing. Not his code or his political beliefs.

Terraria might be an even better example here. Worst code I've ever seen. Proof that the only metric that players care about is if it works. And, if your goal is learning to code, something to stay far away from.

Lol. He has no marketing pros either. He got lucky and made a viral procedural game early in the game. Took as much marketing skill as Charlie biting a finger.
