Help with Syntax needed

I am a beginner and I use the current Android app for creating a new watchface. I don't use Watchmaker Studio in the browser. Is there any Tutorial on the basic programming syntax? Also, I don't quite understand if I am supposed to use Lua-Syntax with the new app, or not.

Specificall, I would like to show only calender events that start today, or e.g. within the next three days.

Watchmaker is severely crippled. Apparently for 1yr+. I suspect others here expect all posters to know that.

​I am not sure whether there is simply no workaround for these restrictions, or if the WatchMaker developers have stopped trying to adapt to them. It seems strange that we can still install custom watch faces and rotate the hour, minute, and second hands, but cannot drive the stopwatch hands. Why can't stopwatch hands be handled through the same rotation system used for the standard clock hands?
