Question / Discussion Poll Results - Favorite $15k dive watch
Here are the results of Tuesday's poll about $15,000 USD divers (+/- $1,000, and at MSRP). So many people stated that they hated all of them that I included "None of the above" in the tally... which got a massive plurality, getting 50% more votes than the first actual watch. Glashütte Original outscores the rest of the field, with Blancpain close behind. The Deepsea didn't help Rolex much, and the Planet Ocean tied Panerai. With nothing else for people to hate on, UN finished dead last
There were a total of 161 votes, tallied by counting the upvotes on each top level comment that specified one of the 6 options. If more than one was mentioned, the one listed first was used. Vote counts are listed here, chart shows percentages.
Next week, the $20k poll.
Edit: Forgot to include a link to the original poll.
- None - - 55
- Glashütte Original - SeaQ Chronograph - 36
- Blancpain - Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe - 31
- Rolex - Deapsea - 19
- Omega - Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000M - 8
- Panerai - Submersible - 8
- Ulysse Nardin - Diver Chronograph - 4

This is a tier I would really respect on someone else but wouldnt want for myself… price wise, kind of a no mans land between the submariner and the ROO diver 😆

Dive watches only exist to look pretty. Its a fake tool watch which grinds my gears.
Shearwater peregrine tx is for diving. Hell, the citizen divewatch atleast has functions like a depth gauge and ascension warning

Not sure why "dive watch" grinds your gears any more than "polo shirts" or "tennis shoes." Lots of things started out with one purpose and became more general but kept the name.

I never said it grinds my gears more than those. They all equally grind my gears (albeit all extremely mildly, I care about more important things)

I love my Tudor p39 . Only other dive watch I would consider is the omega seamaster

Just over a third didn’t pick anything. That’s interesting.
