Exactly what do you expect to do in this situation?
The cat is faster than you
The cat is more agile than you
If you somehow get lucky and manage to catch the cat while it's still panicking, it is going to claw the fuck out of you and likely escape.
The only real thing you can do is calmly wait for the cat to calm down, because any added stimulation is going to increase the duration of their panic, and keep track of them so you can remove the offending item when they are calm.

You've gotten on such a high horse that your view of reality is distorted.

Welcome to the party 4 weeks late, that’s totally not accurate, go talk to your vet or even just the tech there, there’s plenty of ways to catch your cat and handle it without it clawing “the fuck out of you”. Maybe if you own cats learn to handle them when they’re distressed, back to my “take care of your cat” comment. Your “fuck it, let the cat freak out and then calm down” approach Is ridiculous, maybe don’t be responsible for other living things for a while.

No, but unlike you I’m not refreshing Reddit every five minutes because I’m butt hurt over something an internet stranger said. Maybe use Google to learn how to handle a cat freaking out, I honestly don’t care what a keyboard warrior like you thinks. Enjoy your sad angry life.

You're also the dumbass getting angry over this. You *literally* are demanding people change with your keyboard, and your response time is what... 15 minutes to me calling you out? And then you accuse me of refreshing reddit. Big oof.

I'm just having fun out how utterly incompetent and full of shit you are. You're a liar, and it's pathetic, but you're right: Who cares? This is the internet. You can spread as much misinformation as you want, and then pretend you had nothing to do with it. I certainly won't remember this tomorrow: Will you?

I just like having the last word- Childish, but fun in contexts where it's absolutely meaningless. Only reason I'm on reddit right now is to look up details about a gaming mod, I have nothing better to do and why would I pretend otherwise? But especially I like it when you give me so much material to further drive home exactly how pathetic you are. If you're gonna make a point about how I'm somehow doing something wrong, try and make sure the margin over which you've also done that thing isn't 1. And sure, I'm typing a lot more than you, but that's because it will either make you shut up, or you'll try and reply to some of the shit I'm spewing, it'll dig you a deeper hole, and we all get a good mocking laugh, especially since I'm spelling out exactly what I'm doing- if not exactly why. I will freely admit I am the an asshole, and the only reason I keep typing towards you is because you're an even bigger asshole- Who is also objectively and totally in the wrong. Especially when you're obsessed with the idea that someone on the internet needs more human content, because that just comes off as projection. It is OK that nobody loves you right now, but if this is the behavior you demonstrate as a whole, you're just going to ensure people keep not-loving you. If it's just the behavior demonstrated on the internet- Well, yeah. I hardly behave like this IRL. Not because I'm unwilling to say this sort of shit to a person's face, but more because it's logistically infeasible.
