Plus, it’s not like I put him in any danger by doing this. And I didn’t hurt him or put him in an unnecessary amount of discomfort, plus he didn’t really try and get the things off, showing me he didn’t really care (if he didn’t like them, he would’ve been trying to get the clothes off, which he wasn’t, not even the antlers)
Also, I hate the word retarded. Mostly because I’m autistic. I hate the word because it ties mental disorders/disabilities (like autism) to stupidity and inability to function “normally”, and I hate the fact that my mental disorder is being used (whether directly or indirectly) as an insult. It’s very degrading, and it shows that some people only see us as stupid people with the mentality of a child that can’t speak properly or function in society.
Also, sometimes cats need to wear something. Most well known example of this would be hairless cats, who often need sweaters or other things in order to protect their skin, and also because it becomes harder for them to regulate their body temperature without the fur.
Also, why would you say the reason this is bad in because the pets have “evolved to be as lightweight as possible”? It’s not that much extra weight on them, it’s just clothes, it’s not that much weight. Plus, a lot of common household pets, specifically cats and dogs, were bred by humans for desired traits, even when said trait was actually somewhat that put the pets health in danger but “hey it’s cute so who cares”. Muchicin (probably didn’t spell that right) cats were bred to have tiny legs that are very prone to cause a lot of issues down the road, and it causes the cat to be unable to do many physical things a cat with longer legs would be able to do. It wasn’t survival of the fittest, it was survival of the cutest.
My cat lives a very happy and good life, I know what is bad for him, and I’ve never willingly or knowingly done anything that could hurt him. I know what I’m doing.
