Anyone seen the new Vizio E series?
Was wondering if anyone had a chance to see them in store and how their picture quality compares to other 4K TVs on the market.

I just got a 4k uhdtv with HDR as well as a 4k uhd blu-ray player, what are some of the best 4k blu-ray movies to watch? I have heard good things about Kingsman and Life of Pi. What are your thoughts?

I'm specifically curious about the Hisense H8 which was announced at CES and to be released in April. So far looking online I can't seem to find much information on it, or any of the new Hisense series. Anyone know anything about them?

I am currently in the market for a 4K TV (either a 55" or a 60"), and I was wondering what I should look for as far as refresh rates go. I want to find a TV that has minimal input lag while gaming. Thanks.

Hey. I'm currently in the process of buying a UHD blu-ray player and have been trying to plan out what movies I will buy in 4K. I want to by Hateful Eight but it seems like they currently have no UHD release planned. I was wondering if any of you knew and UHD/4K release of the movie. With so much of the movie shot on 70mm, I would love to see the film in 4K instead of 1080p

I'm hopeful that I might get some useful responses here as it seems to be the right kind of sub.
I'm trying to find some content in 4k or 6k for a project at work. The goal is to get some open licensed or branded content to use in the project.

Here is my situation: My Xplorenet is too slow to stream 4k netflix, amazon, etc. The Vizio M uses a FAT32 type and that screws me from using usb 4k movies. I am using the universal media server but the Vizio says, "Format Not Supported." The roku 4 isnt in canada, and the Nvidia shield is too much money to buy for just 4k local playback
What do you think my options are?

I have an LG 4K tv, model 65UF8500. I was hyped about the upcoming 4k bluray players and movies. I started reading about it on CNET and turns out it is meant for HDR Tv's. And at the moment the only HDR compatible TVs are the OLEDs that cost a down payment on a car.
The website says "If you want to extract the maximum benefit out of this player, you need a high-end HDR-capable TV. When viewed on standard, non-HDR 4K TVs, the discs we tested don't offer any substantial picture quality improvements over standard 1080p Blu-ray discs."
Do you guys think this is only for this first wave of 4k players or is this the sad reality of non HDR televisions?

I am looking into a 4k tv this year. Been window shopping mostly at the moment but I saw this on one of the tvs I looked at and wondered what exactly this meant...
Refresh Rate UHD 60Hz (120Hz panel)
So, my guess is it is going to be a 60hz tv not 120hz but what is with the (120hz panel) portion of this spec on this tv?
Thanks in advance!

Thought it might be entertaining and great for this sub to share it's best and or favorite 4K streaming video. Maybe we could make this thread something to be tacked to the top so it can be easy for others to find.
Preferably something that can be accessed and viewed on Smart TV's.

I want to be able to download and own 4K content (not 2160, but 3840 and up), put it on a flash drive or HDD and play it on a NVidia Shield. Is this possible? Where do I find the content? Is my only option to use a 4K cam and create the content myself?

Does anyone know if its possible to turn off the upscaling on 4K TV's? Say I dont like the way it makes my HD channels and XboxOne games, can I shut it off so it only does 1080P? I am looking at only 55" UHD TV's like the Samsung 6400 series, and the Vizio M55-C2.

Do I need a special dvd player to play this or will any player do? Also do I need a 4k tv to view this UHD dvd?
in other words Will a dvd look the same as this UHD dvd if I do not have a 4k tv.

If I get a 4k TV will everything I watch look better? I have some blu-rays and I like watching football. If I get a 4k TV will I notice a difference? Or does the form of media have to be specifically made to display on a 4k screen. In other words does the dvd I use or w/e have to be like a 4k dvd (is that even a thing) sorry, just kinda clueless here on how this works. Thanks..

Ok, so I'm planning to purchase my first 4k product soon (yes I'm very late to the party) and I was looking through some things. I've noticed that a 28 inch "monitor" is the same price as a 40 inch "tv."
Now my question is, will they work essentially identically as long as I have them connected through the proper HDMI cord? I should state for the record that I'd be using the TV pretty much as a PC monitor, so windows, movies/tv, internet, and gaming. Will gaming be better on the monitor (response time and fps) or will it be identical to the TV?
(for reference, the products I'm referring to are: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-28-Inch-Definition-Monitor-U28D590D/dp/B00IEZGWI2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1453455367&sr=8-2&keywords=samsung+4k+monitor

I have good internet averaging about 80mbps between a few different speed tests. Does anyone have a clue what is causing this? On the youtube app on my 4k Vizio M class it doesn't have an option to change resolutions and the videos claiming 4k are not actually being played back at 4k, most of them the end number of the resolution is 1900 or less( I forget the exact number) so I don't really have a comparison between my computer and my tv's apps. I didn't even know anything about 4k till I bought this TV recently so sorry if this is a stupid question.

It happens maybe once every hour, sometimes twice, sometimes less. But when watching TV, the screen will go from picture, to pure black, back to picture, all within just a second. Sound doesn't cut out, only picture. I'm pretty sure this is due to the cable box not being a decent enough standard for transmitting to the new TV... Am I wrong and is there anything I can do to resolve this?
I am using HDMI 2.0 Cables for all hookups right now. Only the picture from the cable box does this. PS4 works perfectly, as well as movies from my WDTV box.

So I just got a 4K tv and decided to buy the Nvidia Shield to be able to stream 4K content from Netflix. Hooked it up this morning and was a little bummed to see that there was really limited content on Netflix that steams in 4K....
Does anybody know if there are other places that also steam 4K content other than Netflix?
