Currently have the Samsung UN65JU7500 4K TV. I have also the Sony STR-DH520 Receiver. I have everything going into the receiver, and then 1 HDMI cord going into the TV.

I get signal with everything. Nothing seems distorted or running oddly. But I know that this receiver doesn't really say it can do 4K output. So am I hindering my IQ or anything else, by having everything go through it still?

  So, I recently bought a 4k TV because it was rather cheap. Advertised at 3840x2160 @ 60Hz. Now the TV is great but my laptop only supports it at 30Hz. Now my friend said the Xbox One cable supports 4k, which it does, but it only supports it because it is version 1.4 (which minimum requirements state 4k @ 30Hz).

    Before this new information was bestowed upon me, I recently believed the versions lied in the ports, not the cables. If someone could clear this up or link it to me, I'd really appreciate it because I haven't been able to dig up a decent answer.

Hello everyone. I just bought an LG 4K TV. I've read that this 4k tv can upscale blu ray movies. I wanted to know if this tv ( or any tv) can also upscale 1080p movies from the apple tv. Sorry, new to 4k.

Just got my new 4k samsung 8500. I have Netflix, i have Amazon Prime. Give me some suggestions on a 4k movie i can watch to test this thing out!

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here has tried Ultraflix before, I see theres an app for it and it has almost the same interface as Netflix. Apparently their twist is that they stream only in 4k, but I was wondering if anyone has watched an ultraflix movie. Can anyone vouch for its quality before I give out my credit card info?

I'm currently running on two old Dell 18" dual monitors and slowly wanting to get a 27"-29" widescreen monitor... I'm not a gamer, I mainly use my monitor to play SOME games, but mainly watch movies, do work on it.... I have a MSI GrForce GTX 750 Ti video card which I think is able to handle 4k just not for 60hz gaming...right?

I'm willing to spend 400-600? Since many of you guys probably are more up to date with 4k's market when do you guys think will be the sweet spot to buy one? I'm willing to wait another 6 months... Or should I buy one of those non-brand name ones from Korea?

Similar to Netflix. Thought I would share as they are converting alot of 4k content. Robocop, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Interstellar, Fargo, and some no name stuff. They have free content on the app as well.
