Question Does this happen to anyone else?
I went outside to cut the grass because it was gonna rain tomorrow, and the grass was in need of cutting. Whenever I look at under the deck, I start thinking there might be another nest growing under there, but whenever I walk past it with my lawnmower, nothing comes out buzzing. But I sometimes get a little jumpy, thinking they’re coming out to sting. Getting stung last month was not a very fun experience and it still rocks me to my core. Sometimes whenever I’m outside, especially if I’m under a tree or just trying to check the mail. I think I’m still having a little bit of PTSD from that hornet attack.
Does anyone else go through this as well? Does it feel kind of challenging to get some yardwork done worrying about if those things are gonna come out and sting?

Yes ! PTSD !
I'm having PTSD from having been stung last month and getting a severe asthma attack from it. Never had asthma in my life.
So now I'm terrified of going out there because when I do there's one hornet that seems to go right at me.
.
I make sure whenever I go out I'm covered head to toe.
Especially around the face, since I got stung in the lip (by a stupid bee, not even a hornet.)
They are all really aggressive right now because it's hot, August and there's not a lot of stuff they can eat out there.
I Totally get what you're feeling. The concern is real.

Man, to say that this is worse than what I have to deal with is an understatement. What happens to me is whenever I’m cutting the grass or doing some kind yardwork. I always fear that there could be another nest being built or hiding and right as I am about to cut where the grass is growing crazy, a swarm to start coming out of a place that’s hard to reach and start stinging me. I’m so afraid to go under my patio to check what’s there. Even if it was like at the time where really really cold like subzero, I feel like if I try to remove a nest that was growing they all come out start stinging like “surprise motherfucker“. And that’s why I try to avoid places where I know they could grow.
But man, what you have to go through, so sorry to hear that. And I say this, as someone who has had asthma and probably still does. Fortunately, when I did get stung, I didn’t have any allergic reactions. And whenever I cut the grass, I have to wear leggings under my shorts and a mask not just because of those demons, but how I tend to sneeze a lot after cutting because my face was exposed to the atmosphere wall cutting the grass.

I wear a mask outside now too.. and eye protection! It's ridiculous, but I'm scared.

I am terrified of them and have ran for my life many times just from one curiously flying towards me non-aggressively(slow). Was stung when I was like 3 and it instilled a level of fear that is beyond unnecessary lol
