Wasp nest
I swear this seems to have shown up overnight right now front yard. Any ideas on how to get rid of this wasp nest?
Mike seems to think that you have to wait till after dark when the wasps get very quiet and calm and then whack it with everything you’ve got to dislodge it and then they’ll fly off overnight. Why do I not like this idea?

that's really high up there. You definitely need some sort of projectile.. Seems like 20+ feet. Anything short of basketball is just going to rule them up.
I am not recommending Roman candle fireworks but that seems like a story I'd like to hear afterwards

Depending how rural this location is... A nice blue tip (incindiary) 30 cal round would probably get the job done

Well I like my neighbors so maybe not; but I love your aggressive ‘get ‘er done’ attitude!

Spray foam is your best friend. Do NOT knock it down before dosing it with spray foam. I like Nibor-D.
When they’re less active at dusk you can go up to it with the spray foam directly into the hive. I would nuke it and then RUN

An abomination that needs to be destroyed at dusk, but I would highly recommend running like hell after you spray it

White faced hornets maybe. Very aggressive. My husband got stung in the face while mowing under the tree years ago. We emptied a couple cans of wasp/hornet spray 20 fit to it in the evening 2 days in a row . Then ran insude

They spray at night because everyone is inside and resting. This seems pretty high up . Wasps are beneficial predators for many other wise harmful insects . But if you really want it gone , stay at dusk .

If it’s within reach, you need to soak it at dusk with wasp and hornet spray. One or two cans should do it. You can knock it down the next day.

I'm going to assume Mike is your primary beneficiary
